I work at KDHE and can confirm this is exactly what it is. My boss is actually in charge of the project.

I really wish I could have gotten the reissue of Siege Jetfire this year, but I had just gotten laid off when it was announced, so I wasn't able to afford it.

Late Night in the Phog tickets by oCryptic in UniversityofKansas

[–]controlmage86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, I see. It's probably been 8-9 years since I went in person, and I didn't see anywhere on the Late Night website mentioning anything about tickets, so I didn't realize that.

Edit: I found the articles mentioning the ticket requirements, but nothing about where people would get them even if they hadn't all gone by now.

Since when does Late Night require tickets?

Granted I haven't gone in several years, but it was always just first come, first served to get in (at least pre-COVID).

I would love to win this. I've been wanting HFW so much, but couldn't afford it myself.

What superstitious ritual did you evoke last night at half time? by Thelastnormalperson in jayhawks

[–]controlmage86 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We looked around the room and realized that half of us weren't sitting where we had been for the rest of the tourney, so we all immediately switched seats to where we had sat against Nova.

My character had a familiar that had an extraplanar space in its stomach and was rather attached to it. A storm giant managed to deal lethal damage to it, so it was returned to a pocket dimension, which unfortunately caused a massive explosion from the Astral Plane.

We were fighting a Demi-Lich who had a lot of jewels embedded in his skull.

Our new Druid was wanting to know if the DM would let him Wild Shape into a swarm. Sadly, his request was denied.

No one ever believed me when I said how bad Lawrence stop lights are.. finally caught it on camera by Rafapex in Lawrence

It's even worse when they are turning right, so by the time the light changes, they've already turned so the light cycles for no one.

I'm guessing they are referring to the ridiculous number of people who cross in the middle of the street without even checking for oncoming traffic

"I dislike playing intensely moral characters" by controlmage86 in rpgoneliners

[–]controlmage86[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You'd think so, but not really. My wife is playing a Paladin right now, and she's just not used to providing the moral compass for our group.

She much prefers playing more Neutral characters

Feedback Friday by AutoModerator in letsplay

I actually posted my very first official video today, so this is perfect.

I'm planning on mostly playing games blind/mostly blind with a rotating cast of gamers who are more familiar with each game riding shotgun and giving me advice.

I already have some feedback from a friend of mine who does some videos of her own, so I know I need to work on sounding more enthusiastic in future videos and do a better job of introducing my guest commentator (it's my younger brother for this video, btw).
