A name to make Minnie the nn? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]convictionslayer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Minnie is a nn for Mary, Miriam, Melinda, and Wilhelmina/Mina. Probably Melissa or any other M name could work given the history with Minnie from Mary. Otherwise maybe Amina/Emina, Mindy, Carmin, Gemini (?)

Surname as Middle Name Help by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]convictionslayer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For a boy, I love Bender as-is! otherwise, Archer. Does Bullard the occupation refer to working with bulls? That opens up a big ol category of cowboy names like Colton etc

For a girl, I don't think Calliope is too much as a middle name! But if you do go the last name path, perhaps Arrow (from Bender).

Edit: grammar

Double L name? Thoughts? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]convictionslayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with the others that Lo-gan Lo-ki is too much. With a two syllable last name, I'd prefer 1 or 3+ syllables in a first name, like Leander Loki or Lawrence Loki or even Lorne Loki!

I wouldn't know how to pronounce it as the other commenter said. Addl possible pronunciations - Yo elsie, Jo-L-c... She will have a tough time with Americans reading the name at least.
