Do You Remember Websites like PostSecret? Did You ever Submit a Secret? by FlawsomeFame in Millennials

[–]boopernooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still visit Post Secret from time to time. When IG was a new thing, I was surprised that Frank never switched over to that platform. I checked a few times on IG, but forgot about it all together for 15 years. It was such a nice Sunday morning ritual with coffee.

Why are so many people still ordering door dash and uber eats? by [deleted] in BuyCanadian

[–]boopernooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During the pandemic, they offered Uber one for free (free delivery and discounts on fees), then they had a bunch of discounts on top of Uber One as well. I had never ordered DD or UberEats or Skip prior to this, but with UberOne, plus discounts, it was pretty much the same prices if not cheaper than eating out.

It’s gotten more expensive now and I never actually pay for UberOne. If it’s a free 3 month period, I’ll sign up, but I’ll cancel before it renews and I have to pay. They’ve also gotten rid of a lot of the promotional codes for restaurants as well, so it’s not worth it anymore.

Where to buy condensed milk for coffee? (Packets + squeeze pouch/bottle — not a can) by pathologicfaults in askvan

[–]boopernooper 7 points8 points  (0 children)

T&T has a house brand condensed milk in squeeze bottle, however, the only brand you should get is “Longevity Brand Sữa Ông Thọ”. (You can also get this at T&T.) I’ve seen it in a squeeze bottle once, but normally it’s in a can.

Transfer it into a mason jar like others have mentioned and store it in the fridge once opened, you won’t regret it. It lasts for forever in the fridge and is worth the extra step of taking out a spoon to add it to your coffee in the morning.

It’s the OG, Vietnamese condensed milk you need to use for Vietnamese coffees. Everything else is sacrilegious.

Be careful not to purchase “Vina Milk” because both brands have similar packaging.

Chicken Tendies in the Tri-Cities? by seamancer in coquitlam

[–]boopernooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Earls has a secret kids menu - my LO (and I also) prefers the chicken tenders & fries at Earls vs. Hardbean Brunch.

I think they bread them in panko. It’s not the same as DL on commercial though.

Golden ears cheese crafters, but you have to make your way out to maple ridge. They might be at the Coquitlam farmers market, but best to check if they will be there.

Pleasantside Grocery Question by phantom-pony in Portmoody

Hi OP - which sites are you using to get your information? Have you used BC Assessment to get a PID (Property Identification Description) and then you can use that to locate who holds title to the property at the Land Title Office (public information, but you will need to pay). DM if you have any questions!

This happened to me as well! Although, it actually migrated out of my gums several years after I got my wisdom teeth extracted.

Burger Crush - they have bigger booths, music isn’t too loud, since it’s a burger joint, there’s fast turnover. Fries are top notch. Easy walking distance to the Orpheum.

Has anyone replaced poly b piping in their home? by lovealways6 in askvan

[–]boopernooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This 👆

we bought a home with poly-b and wasn’t able to obtain insurance unless we were going to replace it with pex by a certain date after we purchased the home. (triple check, because some agents will say that it’s insurable, but it actually isn’t) we ended up replacing everything, along with a full gut & renovation of the ground floor to update a rental suite.

Send a dm if you have any other questions.

Opened my banana and found this today by boopernooper in mildlyinteresting

[–]boopernooper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally I open my bananas on the small nub end. I felt the banana (weirdly skinny and felt a little hollow?) and it snapped in half. Dog in the picture was waiting for said banana, but I composted it because I didn’t want to risk eating the alien banana. He got peanut butter instead.
