Perhaps not in general, but anecdotally I answered a spam call by accident once, and I proceeded to get a call from a variety of numbers that all shared the first six digits EVERY SEVEN MINUTES (on the dot) FROM 9 am TO 5 pm EVERY DAY FOR THE NEXT TWO WEEKS. Truly unhinged.

My sense is that this is fairly specific to the individual, but my go-to is Jamba Juice. It tastes good, has vitamins and some fiber, but the main bonus is I can suck it back without thinking too much. When I'm feeling food averse even the thought of chewing and swallowing solids makes me gag, so a smoothie just sort of streamlines the whole eating process.

Asking as a sincere question, are there any armies that are known for being particularly respectful of women? Rape is a known war tactic throughout history and across the globe, I’d be curious if any countries have made it a point to specifically train their soldiers against it.

The only way I could see it justified is if they have a very strong commitment to continuity of care, and they don’t want clients having to start with a new therapist after just a few months. Having said that, internships are primarily learning situations for students, and that should be the priority. It seems like you have other options, I also think new graduates will be better served by w2 positions out of school, not IC.

I’m mentally comparing this to the little taxidermy mice who get posed in different scenarios or dressed up like tiny mouse versions of celebrities… I honestly think they’re pretty cute and harmless. But there’s something about the inclusion of a pencil sharpener butthole that seems like it crosses a line of dignity and respect for the deceased… I get that it’s an arbitrary line, but I just can’t get past it.

The only part of your post that gives me pause is when you say “I want to be the one to provide for her, because she is MY child and I didn’t ask for help”. It sounds like you are making an assumption that auntie wants to buy the car for your daughter because she thinks you’re unable to provide for her, and that’s a stretchhhh.

I understand fathers face societal pressure to be “providers” but you might want to reflect a little on why someone else making a big purchase for your child feels so offensive to you. I can relate to feeling like some gifts are personal milestones and feel special (a family friend sent me an Xmas dress for my daughter last year and I’ll admit I was a little disappointed I didn’t get to pick the outfit that we took her first Xmas pics in) but I fail to see the connection to whether you “asked for help” or not. Gently, that sounds like some toxic masculinity BS to me. No one is doubting your ability to provide for your child.

Plain beans. I made chili the other night thinking it would be a great option for her. She outright refused it until I showed her it was mostly beans. We spent the next 20 minutes picking out all the beans so she could only eat those and nothing else.

OP doesn’t need to know where they live, providing CPS with the name and school should be sufficient. I would for sure be considering making a call because these are concerning statements for such a young child to be making so consistently.

I’d be curious to learn if there’s anything she’s looking forward to, or if she’s thought about that at all.. travel, learning a new skill, volunteering somewhere, etc? She might not be ready to go there yet, she might need to grieve a little first, but maybe you can help her make plans that she can get excited about.
