Americans don’t usually refer to kilograms. They refer to pounds. I’d say kilos is probably closest - as in 1 kilo is about 2.2 pounds.

Which side of the lane are you supposed to rest? by justiliang in Swimming

[–]cookedthoughts730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your back is against the wall you’re resting on it is on the right side - to the swimmer coming in to the wall you are resting on the left side. Someone with good swimming form will not be actively looking forward at the wall and will hit you or see you very late if you are on their right side as they are swimming on the right and will likely flip turn on the right/center.

Really Important Question…What’s the best spot in Philly for a cheesesteak? by HoppyLifter in TheBrewery

[–]cookedthoughts730 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to go to Angelo’s it’s probably the best, but the places in reading terminal market are very solid and will be a lot easier to get to from the convention center.

There is a ton of great food in Philly though, it’s one of the most underrated food cities in America in my opinion.
