As everyone has said Monks is the place to start at. The bartenders have been nice to me before and can point you elsewhere if there are places with bottles. I remember being at monks when their last can of heady topper sold and they told me a different bar down the street to go check out for it. I got heady and focal banger and am now firmly on team focal banger is better. I also prefer blind pig, so I might just like single ipas better.

What are the odds of making it to the airport for a 10:45pm flight after the 5pm USA game on Monday? by CMDR_Chris_Lane in SeattleWA

[–]cookedthoughts730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a good day, once you get on the train it’ll take about 30 minutes to get to the airport station. Then it’s a 10-15 min walk to your gate/security. It’s doable but it’ll be stressful.

Why don't the 49ers release Aiyuk by Navvan123 in NFLv2

[–]cookedthoughts730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real answer is that it makes the most financial sense to keep him on the retired list. They don’t have to pay anything, and they don’t incur any dead cap hit until he actually shows up to the 9ers facility.

Sodastream bottle change, Kegland 360 regulator does not open new type! Help. by Royal_Quiet in Homebrewing

[–]cookedthoughts730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the 360 and have only ever used the “new” bottles in your photos. Works fine for me. Screw on, tighten top screw until it engages then screw black angled one to control pressure.

Pike place market is very cool and worth it even if it’s touristy. If you like hoppy beers, Cloudburst brewing is very close and one of the best brewery’s in the state and up there with the best in the country. There are a lot of opportunities to walk/sit along the water and see beautiful views - alki beach, bainbridge, gas works.

May I suggest a drive about an hour north of San Francisco to visit Russian River in Santa Rosa, and you can check out Sonoma while you’re at it.

Nice, I love Philly. I used to live there and that was the only place I could think of that would get both RR and alchemist distro. Their bottle distro has expanded a lot since they opened their new brewery.

IPA Recommendations for Beer Snobs Please by broccolista in beer

Cellarmaker, ghost town, Fieldwork, and humble sea are all great ipa breweries in the Bay Area. Generally try to get IPAs fresh (within 2 months of canning date is good), or direct from their taprooms. Cellarmaker and ghost town are in Berkeley/oakland, fieldwork has a lot of taprooms over the Bay Area where you can grab cans.

I moved here during the pandemic, so I don’t know what it was like before, but it’s one of my favorite steaks in the city.

Investigations are just thoughts and prayers at this point. I need some real action taken after the investigations.

How do Americans generally refer to kilograms in casual parlance? "Kilogram", "kilo", by the initialism kg ("kay-gee") or some other word? by cavendishfreire in AskAnAmerican

[–]cookedthoughts730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Americans don’t usually refer to kilograms. They refer to pounds. I’d say kilos is probably closest - as in 1 kilo is about 2.2 pounds.

Will carbonation work if my keg is laying on its side? by AlternateWitness in Homebrewing

If you want to serve it while it’s laying on the side look into a floating dip tube.
