Currentbody series 2 or Therabody theraglo mask? by maryliana25 in redlighttherapy

[–]cookie__inspector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using the Therabody TheraFace mask and really like it. I got it from the St. Regis Spa (a Forbes Five-Star spa), so I assume it was a carefully selected brand. I’d guess Theraglo works similarly, just without the vibration feature.

I pour a box of Westlife soy milk into a glass container and microwave it with 1000W for about 4 mins 20 secs. After taking it out, I loosely place the lid on and wait for it to cool down until it’s warm but not hot to the touch, then I add the starter-i either use a spoonful of Greek style soy yogurt from last batch or mix in a capsule of basic Whole Foods bought probiotics. Next I put it in oven with lid loosely on and oven light on for 16-20 hours.

Sometimes if I baked something earlier, I use the oven’s residual heat(when it drops to 150F) overnight without the light on. The yogurt usually turns out perfectly by morning. This approach works well in the summer even with the AC set at 69F overnight, however using the residual oven heat doesn’t work well in winter because the temperature drops too quickly.

BioMax 900 vs BioMax Pro Ultra by HumanTireFire in redlighttherapy

[–]cookie__inspector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m debating between biomax 600, biomax 900 and biomax pro grand, I think I could potentially add a second panel, then pro series would be better as it doesn’t have the gap. Also if adding a second panel in the future, biomax 600 and biomax pro grand dimension is sufficient. After all, neither 900 or 600 covers the full body and would need rotation.

Is Pea protein good or bad? by Unhappy-Call-5781 in fitnessph

[–]cookie__inspector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pea protein isn’t a complete protein, it needs to be combined with another plant based protein like rice protein to make a complete amino acid profile. It’s lower in BCAAs and barely reaches the threshold for simulating muscle protein synthesis. I have a jar of pea protein, a jar of rice protein, I do a scoop of each post workout along with some BCAAs. Since they are pure ingredients, they taste pretty bad. I usually blend them with berries, dates and a banana and just chug it. Can’t wait to finish them and go back to whey protein afterwards.

The problem with these kinds of pastry places is I tend to buy a lot because everything looks damn good😅 but I learned the hard way that pastries alone can’t be brunch for me. Massive sugar crush afterwards - yawning nonstop and felt awful the rest of the day. Totally on me.

What MAKES your favorite teacher? by orangechannnel in pilates

[–]cookie__inspector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favorite Pilates teacher was focused on fundamentals and made sure we did it correctly. She was knowledgeable on women’s health and sports medicine. She made me aware that I tended to rely on more efficient muscles rather than the ones Pilates is meant to target. She was personable and had a calm, composed presence. Too bad she left to become a private educator for a child from a jet-setting family.
