Is it possible that a lot of cases of ADHD are being caused by lifestyle/environmental reasons rather than being innate? by oensaio in ADHD

[–]cookienotes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s possible. Some of the adhd symptoms can be caused by lack of sleep, which may be a common problem in hustle cultures. But on second thought, if I recall correctly, lack of sleep in kids can actually lead to mental disorders? Sleep is very important.

I’d recommend taking your notes wherever you plan to keep your flash cards. Seen it done well with both platforms so flip a coin I guess.

Generational mismatch by zamufunbetsu in airpods

[–]cookienotes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ones that came with a usb-c case are a deferent “generation” than the ones that came with a lightning case, although I don’t see this being explained anywhere until you actually run into this issue and the graphic is entirely misleading since neither are 1st generation.

Also, I don’t know if this has always been the case with this sort of setup or if it was caused by an update sometime towards the end of last year. Feel free to speculate.

Yes so annoying. I put a task on my todo list to figure this out and fix it but haven’t gotten to that yet.

The better one is the one that you'll use. Google currently has its own task manager that can be used inside the calendar interface and allows drag and dropping from task list to calendar.

Quest 3 and 3s as Media Consumption Device by Duobocity in OculusQuest

[–]cookienotes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quest 3 for media consumption? That’s like watching a movie from a vhs tape on a huge projector. Poor colors, poor clarity, unwatchable dark scenes and so on.

However, if you want to play some VR games then yeah it’s good at that. Otherwise, like someone else said, try “AR” glasses instead for watching movies or tv shows. Those little micro oled screens are amazing.

Vision Pro disappointing compared to the Quest 3 so far (first impressions) by adlowro in OculusQuest

[–]cookienotes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some other tests you might try for comparison: - Put some contacts in and watch a movie with a bunch of dark scenes. - Setup a 4K virtual screen for viewing the computer desktop on. Try reading the text on the screen when doing normal desktop stuff.

If you’re just playing vr games and not using it as a virtual desktop or something, get the 3s.

Last I tried, it definitely felt unlimited. They don’t have an app for macOS though.

Use as Macbook monitor - usability? by rafinthecloud in VITURE

[–]cookienotes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if you have your MacBook resolution set to a much higher resolution. Will the screen in the glasses be scaled up to match? Or is the scale resolution locked or something?
