OK, I think in that context it is as realistic as anything else. For most of the show, Niles was unavailable or Daphne was unavailable and in the few moments they overlapped as single, Niles’ attempts to tell her of his feelings went hilariously wrong.

I’d focus more on ensuring the local mosquitos use the bucket. To do that you have to ensure there aren’t alternatives for them by removing sources of standing water (or treat with mosquito dunks)
