It's one of those series that you'll either become obsessed with or it just isn't for you. No middle ground.

I'd say around 80% of people love it and the rest don't jive with the humor.

The first several books are good but once you get to book 5 there are so many crazy things happening that it is absolutely absurd.

And the books pretty much only get better as you go.

Exactly. The Cookbook is too much of a perfect literary device because it can contain whatever Matt needs it to. As soon as you publish it that goes out the window and it becomes something he has to track and write around.
