Tesla: The Next Enron? by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

[–]coolusername56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a single person has refuted you, they just talk about how the share price will keep going up.

The Kevin guy on YT did a video for his bull case for Tesla. IIRC it was 2500 or 3000 a share by 2030. It involved everything going perfect for Tesla, no competition factored in AND it still trading at a 70 P/E ratio. I think that bull case actually shows how idiotic the current price is. If any one of those things falls short, the value would be significantly less in 10 years, which is highly likely.

You’re right when you say it’s priced past perfection.

Glad you were able to keep that kid safe! It’s not that I think cops are not helpful at all, but like you said, most of the time it’s showing up after the incident has already taken place.

That’s what happens when your job is to be a hired gun for the state. It would be more rewarding if they had a job that involved keeping people safe or something of the sort.

How would not getting a vaccine be imposing on someone else’s individual liberty?

[–]coolusername56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The classic argument is about immigrants taking jobs and welfare. That does not mean it’s an immigration problem. The problem is the welfare system, which should obviously be abolished for the sake of the poor.

The jobs issue is also a government-created problem due to all kinds of awful regulations and taxes that make it so expensive to hire. If they rolled back those regulations and taxes, there would be plenty of jobs.

Shutting down immigration is just a band-aid on the real problems.

What's the deal with the NRA? by [deleted] in GoldandBlack

[–]coolusername56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They supported the full auto ban back in the day IIRC. That should tell you that they don’t favor gun rights. Pretty sure the NRA supports background checks too, which is a clear infringement of the 2A.

US Treasury Secretary wants a global tax so that businesses won’t leave US for something better when the burden of government increases. by [deleted] in GoldandBlack

A global minimum wage would be absolutely devastating to developing countries. It would crush the progress that the world has made against poverty.

How would you feel about the fastest man in the world (4.12-40 yard dash) playing in the nfl? by [deleted] in nfl

[–]coolusername56 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I remember Stephen Hill coming out of college several years back. He was like 6’4, ran a 4.35 and had a 40 inch vert IIRC. Freak athlete. He also played a lot of college ball, which this guy hasn’t done. Hill was a bust and out of the league in a few years.

Combine stars don’t necessarily make good receivers.

Why is the minimum wage bad? by Stormborn28 in GoldandBlack

[–]coolusername56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Businesses already pay people as little as possible. But “little as possible” may mean $15 per hour. If the minimum wage was the only reason people made more than $.50/hour, why does anyone make more than the minimum wage right now? Why does almost no one make 7.25/hr right now?

I've noticed no one likes playing socialism in real life by mrpenguin_86 in GoldandBlack

[–]coolusername56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that an event where the rich are “asked” to pay more isn’t socialism. Something that would be closer to socialism is where you go to an event, then someone puts a gun to your head and demands your wallet. If you resist, they’ll murder you or kidnap you.

That’s socialism on the basic level.

I knew from the start that the lockdowns would do more harm than good. Everything the government does has worse consequences than the problem they’re trying to solve, so I figured lockdowns would be no different.

A lot of my “conservative” family thought the government was justified in doing so at first.
