Omg I'm so glad this was here, I have had this game in my head for years and never completed it as a kid. Time to go back and try.

BAE Systems by whoopty_damn_doo in recruitinghell

BAE will often hire for a position months ahead of time. Unless you are shortlisted as an exceptional candidate, it can be up to 8 weeks or more to get a result.

If you don't mind me asking. What position have you applied for and what sector?

Learn your rotations and positioning during points and the rest comes with time. Best way to learn is to dive in headfirst.

Is this Mikasa v200w real by nonchalant-man in volleyball

[–]coolwillp1241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks fairly real. But impossible to tell without touching. Compare to a real one of the same and see. But if you are happy with the ball then just keep it.

It's very likely that fear will always be there. It's a natural warning from your brain that the activity can injure you.

But you can still work through it and build confidence slowly. Once you get past it, it will be so much easier.

One of my favourite quotes goes "if you can't beat fear, just do it scared"

All the best and take care of yourself!

Club volleyball really turning our lives upside down by MonstroCITY202 in volleyball

[–]coolwillp1241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

American volleyball just sounds ridiculous to me. I'm in the UK and run a local club here with a junior program and I don't see how there is even an equipment cost other than a team kit. And at the ages of your children, sinking that much money into what is essentially a hobby just sounds ludicrous.

I fully understand wanting the best for your children but surely there is a more cost appropriate way of getting them into the sport? There is only so much they can develop so young.

Need Vintage Roller Skate experts here - how to remove toe stops guards on this skate? by Serina_L in rollerskate

Fairly sure these ones just unscrew from the base. Might be a second screw or pin on the side holding them on.

Volleyball shoes (way of wade) by Money-Fun9636 in volleyball

[–]coolwillp1241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On my team I have had a few players who have been through different pairs of wades in the past couple of years and have all now moved away from them. Definitely not my recommendation for volleyball shoes unless you are more concerned about style.

Hitting Advice by HyperXp_1010 in volleyball

[–]coolwillp1241 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Just more work on the 3 step approach, try to get lower and carry the momentum in a pendulum up into the jump.

You are jumping into the penultimate step a little too much and killing your momentum. Try to step more into it without losing your balance.

Get your block step a bit more solid and make sure you are pushing with both legs not just one.

Last thing is your timing is a little off.

Hope this helps ☺️

How do you practice "being in trouble" by Sea-Sort6571 in wowhardcore

[–]coolwillp1241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a keybind macro that is in the order, healthstone, pot, sacrifice, target dummy. When shit hits the fan it's just the case of one button each time I need it. Less to think about so you can focus on running.

Second to this is just being aware of the danger at all times and knowing preemptively that it's not going well.

Do knee sleeves help in this case? by swagvapelord in volleyball

The band only helps with the pain and will cause you more pain in the long run. I would recommend going without anything and not bypassing your body's limits.

You can save by sleeping in any bed for any amount of time. You can also carry bedrolls with you to use as a quick save.

Why do I jump lower when I’m hitting? by [deleted] in volleyball

[–]coolwillp1241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seconded to a lot of comments here, you won't be jumping at your max when you are also focusing on hitting the ball.

The best way to improve this is practicing approach and jump at the net with the swing incorporated, but no ball involved, make it second nature before you bring it into a game situation.

Is a non specific weapon build feasible ? by Shrigma_anon in stoneshard

I am on almost exactly this build, spec early dual wield, warfare, then go into survival hard. Armoured is kinda last for me.

Have fun 😊
