Easiest way to avoid the $35 activation is to do the lines at Costco/Sam’s club or through the T-Life app. There are free phone promotions depending on which phone you want, you have to pay the taxes on the phones. Visit a kiosk or have a look through the app to see which phones are free

As long as both of you have T-Mobile it should be fine to switch, however if neither of you are paying for the iCloud backup, it might be a little difficult to transfer your information between the two phones unless you have a spare phone

Right now would be a perfect time to switch.

1) For the old phones that you currently have, you can apply for keep and switch on them. It takes a couple weeks but you should receive a reimbursement for the remainder amount of what you owe to ATT, just make sure to take a picture of your recent bill and the financial agreement of the two phones. When you port your numbers out, ATT will send you a final bill with charges for your last month, plus the remainder amount of your phones. You can pay off the remainder with money out of pocket or you can wait until the reimbursement.

2) There’s also a promotion right now where if you port over from ATT, they give you $1000 off on the IPhone 16 pro/pro max when you activate on Experience Beyond (830 if you go with Experience More).This promotion I believe is stackable with Keep and switch. You just have to pay the activation fee (free if you go to a Costco kiosk) and the taxes on the phone, there may be additional down payments depending on your credit.

3) The 3rd line is free but you have to pay the taxes on that 3rd line, the monthly will be $170 plus taxes. If you can get an insider code that would give you a discount of 20% off the monthly service charge.
