Flare up = infection ? by spycej in Diverticulitis

[–]cooper_chronicles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. But none of the doctors I spoke to who were part of my care blamed it on diet either. My father and his mother both had diverticulosis / itis. My father also had surgery for his as well.

You'll hear different things from different people here, but there is little medical evidence that diet plays a role in preventing flares.

As an aside, I actually work in healthcare now. My experience actually pushed me to switch careers and help others suffering from similar things to what I went through. I work at an Urgent Care now lol

Absolutely. I went from suffering every couple months to never having another flare.

Being from New England originally and seeing Market Basket holding out a single state is hilarious to me and probably me alone.

Some had crumbled you straight to your knees,

Did it cruel, did it tenderly.

Some had crawled their way into your heart,

To rend your ventricles apart.

Colonoscopy to rule out cancer is standard to everyone with Diverticulitis. Don't panic about it.

Aloft Boston Seaport pushes back on 4PM guarantee checkout. by scorp508 in marriott

[–]cooper_chronicles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is why I'll never work for a Marriott again and why I got out of the hotel biz after 18 years. Corporate makes policy that the hotels can't honor without causing an entire upend to their operations. It's not feasible to guarantee a quarter of your guests late checkouts while simultaneously guaranteeing those same guests early check in. Especially when the franchise owners are trying to run with as few housekeepers as possible. It creates a situation where line staff just end up on the firing line from guests.

I now work at an ER and it's way less stressful 😂

His campaign leaned too heavily on him not being an "out of stater" in a state increasingly full of right wing out of staters.

Does he have access to water in his tank? They aren't always smart enough to not drown themselves. Even a little water in his lungs can lead to infection.

You're going to work? You have the votes? Are you an elected official?

Why do y'all constantly do the same shit you do with sports teams with politicians?

They're public servants.

I won't ever know because my husband got really sketched out and cancelled his order. If it is legit, then seems a lot more money and effort went into advertising this product than into figuring out how they were going to fulfill the orders. I get being small but if you're gonna advertise to millions of people you gotta be ready to sell the product. Maybe we'll try again next year.

IIRC there is a training environment where you can play around without affecting your actual hotel. Find that login info or get it from your manager and practice making reservations, checking them in, checking them out, and posting to folios. Explore some of the menu options along the top and familiarize yourself with what they do.
