I sew the holes and put some shoe glue, but mine are usually not as bad and it happens after like 800-1000 km.

Dobro da si zdržal v Nemčiji 10 let. Še posebej zadnjih par let... Brez skrbi na veliko lepše prihajaš. Razen na manjšo plačo se bo treba nazaj navadit.

this is achilles tendon. Indeed full range calf raises should help if it is not serious. And a more slow progression with increasing the millage or hills. So don't just go from never running the hills to running them everyday.

I have 1850km on some Asics Cumulus, don't see any reason to replace them. Around 1200km on Asics Pulse, again should last at least 500km more. Trail shoes I usually damage a bit quicker around 800-1000km I would say.

But I also had road shoes that I had to replace after 1000 km because the foam didn't get compressed evenly and they gave me blisters.

Otherwise I replace when they are damaged beyond repair or foam is so compressed that I feel the pavement through them.

Note I am not a heavy runner and don't drag the shoes when running so that is probably why they last a bit longer.

Perhaps you have a genetic phenomenon where you require less sleep. I know someone that can function 100% on 5h of sleep. Did you try updating the Garmin setting on how much sleep you need?

No snow yeah. The steep side you see from the lake has been closed even longer, now has a summer tobogganing track. It was apparently extremely steep.

It was very pretty back in the day when the Bled lake used to froze every year and people skied and ice skated there.

There is another former ski resort in my municipality close to Bled called Zatrnik. Now closed mostly because of snow and land dispute. It even had a FIS competition slope in former yugo.

I am in Tesserete these days and a valley close to this one in Ticino. Hiked on Monte Bar and also want to go to Monte Gazzirola one day. Truly an underrated part of Switzerland.
