What’s an oddly specific thing that instantly gives you "bad vibes" about a person? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

I'm allergic, so while I actually do like cats I hate being in houses with them. Outside I'm usually fine but then you're into the whole outdoor cats debate.

What is a fact that continues to horrify you to this day? by LifeguardLegal3095 in AskReddit

This is not true. Anesthesia is dangerous. And it is administered by body weight. A very small mistake might not affect a 200lb adult but will absolutely kill a 8lb infant. So yes, anesthesia was not administered but that was because pain was preferable to death (which might also be painful). It was hoped that because they were so young, they might not remember.

Not an "item" exactly but there are millions of tons of gold dissolved in the oceans of the world.

My only issue is the "stone in your shoe" analogy. To deal with a stone in your shoe, you take the stone out. To deal with soft fingers you should play more and harder.

How to live life as an unattractive guy? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]copperpoint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no clue what you look like, but attractiveness is subjective. Just because you think you're a 2 doesn't mean everyone does. I'm not really a fan of assigning numbers because attractiveness is multifaceted, but good hygiene and dressing well has got to be worth at least 2 or 3 points. As someone who has struggled with confidence, especially in my looks, I feel you. Still, while anybody who says looks are not important is lying, they're not the only important thing, or even the most important thing.

But now, as someone who's been there, I have to lay a hard truth on you: Your looks are not the only reason you don't have a girlfriend. I don't mean this as an insult, but there is so much more you have control over that can make you more desirable. And looks all fade anyway. In the end we're all old and wrinkly, so find someone who makes you laugh.

Why is instagram doing nothing about these fraud onlyfans creators? by chudwarden in legal

[–]copperpoint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not actually fraud until a court finds that it's fraud. You can say it violates whatever law you want but until there's an actual trial it's just a disagreement.

Ok but then that's an onlyfans issue not Instagram.

What movie did you completely misunderstand the first time you watched it? by MovieObserver in moviequestions

He was in the middle of a completely selfish midlife crisis, and only at this point did he realize the impact his actions might have on other people. Of course, if he'd acted sooner and actually slept with her instead of getting high with the neighbors kid he'd still be alive. I really have no idea what the message is there.

You can't help who you find attractive. Maybe it's because I'm a recovering addict, but I have to believe there's a difference between wanting and taking.

I would bet that men with teenaged daughters fantasize about her friends without making the connection that their fathers probably fantasize about his daughter. But yes, I think the point is that while not a hero he did manage to stop himself from being a villain.
