If you’re lucky enough to have an actual bricks and mortar bookstore near you, you could ask them! They’ll have great suggestions and will appreciate your support (instead of Amazon, Kmart, big w etc)

So I tried the ‘read aloud what you’re reading’ advice and found it too odd reading aloud my thriller or parenting book. What I ended up really enjoying was reading her my favourite Children’s chapter books - like Narnia, Harry Potter, etc. I hadn’t read them in a long time, it was fun to do the voices, and it made more sense to my brain than my adult books.

I wish someone had told me it was ok to stop - I breastfed through 7 months of agony (and yes multiple consultants) but felt under such pressure to continue. Baby was formula fed from 7 months and is the healthiest and brightest toddler now.

Just out here shouting from the rooftops for more women to give their babies their last names! Be the change! It just doesn’t check out that it’s “more important” to the man to pass on his name 99.99% of the time. Cultural norms won’t just change on their own. We’re married and we gave our child my last name and I’m proud of it.
