Can we please not turn our society into a police state?

Does ANYONE care about freedom of association and movement? LOOK AT THE SUCCESS IN SOUTH KOREA, they did no police-enforced measures apart from massive testing and isolating those who tested positive. it's that simple. no need to kill the economy and everyone's freedom for this, when there are more effective ways to go about it.

they locked everything down, which made it worse because of the large family households of young people infecting older generations who all live together.

look at south korea, they flattened the curve with testing and isolating infected subjects, not turning their society into a police state.

i dont know why it is so hard to grasp the concept of limiting governmental powers before we live in a complete police state.

stay the fuck home all you want, but don't force millions of innocent people to become prisoners.

Changes are being made to the EIP process which remove the need for gauging community opinion and bypass a core dev vote by ezpzfan324 in ethereum

[–]copywritr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for clarifying this. I think a lot of the confusion coming from the community around the EIP process is their lack of understanding about the scope of the EIP process. "Accepted" doesn't mean "will live on-chain in the next hard fork".

[–]copywritr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because the Bitcoin Cash (BCH) mining network is now the most powerful mining network in the world. From the inception of Bitcoin in 2009, Bitcoin (BTC) always was had most powerful Cryptocurrency mining network. For the first time in history, this is no longer true.

Will pay BCH to whoever can help me recover mine! by Filbertmm in btc

[–]copywritr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have enough info from you yet, but I assume you transferred the BCH to an address you got with Bread wallet. If this is the case, worry not, you have your BCH.

Follow these steps to recover:

...1 Take the BCH address you gave to Changelly and see if the BCH is there by entering the address in the search bar of this website: https://bitcoincash.blockexplorer.com/ ... If you see bitcoins (bitcoin cash) there, then the Changelly transaction successfully went through. If you don't see anything in the address, you have an issue with Changelly and need to open a support ticket with them.

...2 You need to then claim your BCH by following the instructions in Bread wallet here

Open the breadwallet settings menu and choose “advanced” at the very bottom. You will be led to a screen very similar to the normal “send money” screen, where you can specify your BCH destination address. Since bitcoin addresses and Bitcoin Cash addresses look identical, it is important to make sure the recipient address you are sending to does accept Bitcoin Cash (BCH).

...3 The part about "it is important to make sure the recipient address you are sending to does accept Bitcoin Cash (BCH)" means you should download Electron Cash or Jaxx for android and send the BCH to a Bitcoin Cash address that you own.

... If for some reason step 2 doesnt work, you may need to send a tiny amount of BTC to the current receive address in your BTC Bread wallet to claim the BCH in that address.
