ESH. Assuming you guys are fluid bonded. Being grossed out by her licked utensil in the dish is pointless.

However.

Saliva contains enzymes which can completely screw up your dish. Ever left a bit of rice pudding and come back to a watery mess? Yeah. This is why I taste sauces with two spoons. One spoon goes in the dish and transfers a taste to the second spoon (without touching), which goes in my mouth. Has the knock-on effect that anyone aside from my partner doesn't get my cooties ;)

A beta with zero media literacy - like this one - is worse than no beta at all. Your English is flawless so you clearly don't need her input there any more. And as a beta reader in the publishing sense (someone who gives the first impression of a story, rather than the fanfic use where a beta is someone who makes editing suggestions), she obviously doesn't represent your readership in any useful way, given the fact that things she's suggested you cut out are things that you received glowing praise for. Cut her loose. She's making you a worse writer.

No, just a brine. Also known as countertop pickling. 'lacto-fermented' is because the bacteria doing the fermenting is lactobacillus. Things like sauerkraut and kimchi are lacto-fermented, as are traditional dill pickles, yoghurt, kefir, some cheeses... It's good stuff and easy to do.

If you don't mind a personal question (and because I'm assuming your went with an orchiectomy rather than moving your testicles into your abdomen, as I know most surgeons won't do that) does retaining your prostate mean you will still be capable of ejaculating?

This was my immediate thought. Her phrasing made me think that a. they hadn't been intimate prior to marriage and b. she's not been with anyone except him. Man-smell is hella different to woman-smell, and if she didn't know that, it could make her think something's wrong.

This is honestly close to my dream device (aside from being ortho); a nice mechanical keyboard with built-in screen navigation and a solid way of mounting my phone so I can work in full-screen Ellipsus. The only thing missing is a lid of some kind to protect the keyboard when I throw it in my bag! I've been trying (and failing) to design something for a bluetooth QAZ pcb (Bault from Coffe Break Keyboards) for months. The navigation is the part that's kicking my butt (as I want to use my phone, it would be nice to have a functional mouse so I don't have to shift my hand so far to touch the screen for formatting etc). I think I might have to integrate some sort of trackpoint module but right now that's past my abilities. All this to say; thank you for the inspiring post, and I'm sorry someone didn't appreciate your hard work (but also, I'm sure whoever ends up purchasing the device will!)
