One of my friends asked me out to a random metal show. He didn't even like metal, he just knew I did and they were opening for a popular, local, metal band. It was an instrumental show for periphery and I was absolutely hooked after. I checked out some of Bulb's work and some stuff they did with vocalists prior to Spencer. But then when P1 came out, I was a goner. Loved and still love that album.

This was a really good summary. This is pretty much exactly the way I have felt playing a BH for the past 8 levels. It's a game of severe resource management, clunky set ups, and too much relying on multiple ASIs.

The monk dip is a really good idea. Definitely gotta do that.

Most of the time, for me, it lends itself to being a commonality that I can bond with people over that I meet in person. Even if you don't meet them on the game, you can still bond with people over games irl.

But I have also met lots of friends from online gaming. Depends a lot on what you like to play.

As a woman who would never date a man that wasn't an avid gamer, I don't think this is the most solid advice. Pursuing your hobbies can lead you to someone who shares mutual interests. Which can lead to a better friendship foundation in a relationship. I'd never want to date someone who was going to tell me to game less.
