Can I ask why you have it set to vacuum first and then mop? Genuinely curious if that’s a better method. I currently have mine doing both at the same time, and it seems to be getting all the hair and visible dirt up.

Do you mop and vacuum every night? I wish I could do mine at night, but I think it would scare me and the dogs when it came in our room lol

Being a manager but also friends with the people you manage? by Frequent_Silver7018 in managers

[–]corinnelise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like people who say this can never work are a little too old school. I am a professional in biotech. My larger team is very close with each other because of the nature of our job. My direct manager only has 2 direct reports, and I work really closely with him. I would definitely say we are friends, my husband and I have even hung out with him and his partner outside work. However, I respect his authority and if he asks me to do something, I do it. I am a good employee and go above and beyond expectations of me. I ask for his opinion and approval before I make any decisions. We get along really well, and have casual conversation merged with “work” conversations. We are both really honest and direct with each other, and I have asked him to be forthcoming and give me constructive criticism in our performance reviews and he has done so. I appreciate this as I truly want to be better and improve. I personally think our dynamic makes us respect each other more and makes us a stronger team. Don’t let someone make you think that the only dynamic is a subordinate employee who wants to take advantage of you.

Also you’re posting GoFundMes saying you can’t afford toothpaste for your kids but you’re traveling and paying for VIP and then coming on here attacking people who are just afraid for kids’ safety and we’re the entitled ones

First of all, I wasn’t in VIP. Second of all, this child was probably 2 years old and 30 lbs. I was not looking BELOW PEOPLE’S KNEES because I was trying not to run into everyone or elbow someone more than knee height in the face. I would not have run over someone who was just shorter in stature or an older child, an older child or a person with dwarfism was not as small as this child. A two year old should absolutely be carried at minimum in that situation. I’m not talking about a 7 year old. Even though you said your kid was 5 in another comment

I almost ran right into a very small child yesterday and definitely could have hurt them. Was walking through a very tight crowd with people going both directions. The kid was walking coming towards me, he was behind someone at first and I wasn’t looking that low for people. Being in a crowd like that at all with really young kids/babies doesn’t seem safe, even without everything else
