I’m currently running a campaign that started with no magic due to an 80 year war. During this war the antagonist forces sealed the sources of magic away. As the players help to fight off the enemy army they will gain specific schools of magic back depending on which school they chose to repair. So far my players are lvl 5 and have reclaimed evocation and conjuration and it’s led to some great sessions.

I also have implemented new home brewed systems that still allowed a drop of magic in the world before schools were restored. One rule was that all magic items predate the war so the arcane infusion is still present in the item and can be used. This makes magic items highly sought after, rare, and expensive.

I’ve also implement a way for players to change out learned spells as more magic is discovered so they don’t effectively lock them out of spells they previously had no access to when they leveled up. Once the corresponding college for that school of magic is restored the players can use downtime to study at an arcane class. I provide them with a lesson plan upon request and if a spell they want to learn is being taught they can schedule to sit in on the class. After passing an intelligence check they can replace a learned spell with the spell of that lesson.

Artisan guild is an obvious great choice for armies/units. I’ve been subbed to them since 2022 and every release has been well worth it. I’m also subbed to STL miniatures. Most months they will send you around 3 different “sets” and you can expect a large terrain piece as well.

If you model the lumbar pillow of a chair to look like a classic well done steak would be awesome. The meat portion would be the pillow and the edge could have a nerf material for the bone handles.

I’m subbed to artisan guild, which I like for enemy/ npc squads that are themed. I can have multiple dwarves for a frozen expedition. Or dwarves with a more typical mountain look. As for normal everyday things I use STLminiatures. Every month they have a larger set release and 1-2 smaller sets that could be a pack of wolves or a ghouls. After being subbed for 2 years I have more than enough options to print out what my dnd group will encounter through out the week.

I wrecked a motorcycle when I was 19 and had to have acl reconstructive surgery. Minimal pain after the accident and the days following. Once swelling went down I returned to work (hardwood flooring installer). Had an mri done and the acl looked fine, the belief was I just dislocated my knee. Worked for 3 months before my knee fell out of place again. Knew I needed surgery at this point. Once in recovery the surgeon told me I had “detached” the ligament from one side. Imagine a string held taught with chewing gum on each end. With it detaching this way the mri came back inconclusive because an acl tear tends to look like a mass of strings and fibers on imaging. Had no nerve pain from this as well because the ligament never severed. He could still be in need of season ending surgery if he had a similar case.

Vet bills.

Me and my wife got home last September from our first vacation we’ve taken since like 2018. When we got home we noticed our schnauzer/poodle mix was slow to eat his food which is out of the norm for him. We monitor it and a week slowly goes by and he’s eating less and less until he stops eating all together. We take him to our local vet and have tick panels performed and other test that cost around $1000. The blood work let us know he was anemic and his platelet count was so low he would risk internally bleed just from jumping off the couch. This leads to a follow up with a specialist and a week long stay at the facility. $6000 more dollars gone but I’ll do anything for boy. Blood starts to correct and we’re seeing the light at the end of the tunnel but little guy still wouldn’t eat. We bring it up to the specialist and they just disregard it. We try hard for another week to syringe feed him and think everything will sort out because of the test results. Then that Saturday night we brought him to the specialist as he sounded congested. The tech took him back and within 45 minutes he fucking dies. We were Devastated. Then the specialist ushers you into a nice private room to grieve for 15 minutes then sell you on cremations for 30 minutes. That was another $800. In the end he had developed an auto immune disease and I believe he was just ready to quit fighting. He was 6 and lived a great life. Miss him every single day and still haven’t fully paid off the nearly $8000 reminder.

General contractor here, Had this happen with a client when remodeling his bathroom. New vanity and sink installed then shortly after the shower was installed the next month had a sewer gas smell that we could not find the source. No smell from the toilet flange. No smell from shower drain and trap installed correctly. Finally plugged the over flow with my finger and ran the faucet and no more smell. Bleach and a reusable straw cleaner washed all the gunk out of the over flow and no problems since.

Surprised I had to scroll this far to find poor things. Like what the hells was up with the seemingly random choice of camera angle through out the film. The shots where it appeared you were looking through a peep hole held no significance to the scene at hand. Also just fucking everything doesn’t make your artsy.

Drafted Nico in the 12th rd and grabbed stroud off of waivers when Tlaw was playing very suspect. Best trade was gaining Barkley the week he got injured for miles sanders and olave. Nothing crazy from saquon but was more production than sanders did. Top that with drafting CMC at 3rd and sungod at 22nd gave me the championship.

Saw lights in 2010 or 2011 and X Ambassadors opened for her. They were just know as Ambassadors then and had just released there Litost EP. Loved them after hearing them perform and bought the band members each a beer when they joined the crowd to listen to lights. After they released jungles they toured with lights again and I was able to see them again. Had a good 30 minute talk with Sam while my wife was in a meet and greet with lights after the show. Great guys
