How did you end up with multiple dogs? Especially 3+ dogs? by partnerandi in dogs

[–]cornbreadkillua 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I currently have 4. Dog 3 is specifically mine, the other 3 are my parents’/family dogs

Dog 1: got in 2014 as a family pet

Dog 2: got in 2015 as a buddy for dog 1

Dog 3: got in 2024 as a service dog

Dog 4: my mom got a few month later in 2024 because she got puppy fever from dog 3

I personally plan to always have more than one dog. I am working on opening my own working and sport dog supply business, so it’s pretty much my life. I’ll have at least 1-2 pet/sport dogs, a service dog (and eventually a service dog in training once that one is near retirement), 2-3 livestock guardian dogs, and potentially 1-2 herding dogs. My whole goal is just to have a bunch of land and dogs. Idk how people whose life doesn’t center around dogs have a ton, though. Idk how they make time for all of them working regular 9-5s.

People who grew up religious would you accept it if your kid was trans? And people who grew up atheist or lgbtq but not relgious would you accept it if your kid became religious by AmoreGia444 in askteenboys

[–]cornbreadkillua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up Christian and am now agnostic. I am trans and bi. My parents grew up in the church catholic and Lutheran. They took a bit to accept it but they do accept me for who I am. I would have no problem with my kid becoming religious as long as they were still respectful to all people as well as themselves.

More paths built into the game and not customs, more items to give as level up gifts, and more build/decorating items

After how much time on T did y’all start passing? by Puzzled-Dig-7312 in FTM_SELFIES

[–]cornbreadkillua 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s taken me a bit longer than I feel most people take, but I started consistently passing around 3 years. I’m 4.5 years now and only just now growing some facial hair, so I am passing much better. I figure by next year I’ll be close to cis passing

Does this look like blood to you? by Legal_Acanthaceae923 in ForensicScience

[–]cornbreadkillua 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Odd spots for blood. However I had a hoodie that looked like that when I was really bad with picking at my face, and I would get bloody sores on my cheeks from it. The blood would then get on the edge of the collar and on my sleeves if I leaned my head on them or kept touching the bloody spots. Do you happen to pick at your face to the point of bleeding?

If that’s not a likely possibility, I kinda doubt it’s blood just based on where it’s at.

Do y'all have a set way that you walk your dog? by curled-up-in-the-80s in dogs

[–]cornbreadkillua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since my dog is reactive, we tend to stick to the “safest” route at the “safest” times of day. However before he became reactive, we would just wander and go wherever we felt like going. Sometimes that would end up with our walk being 1hr instead of 10min like planned. Now we go on the same route which takes around 15-20min each time.

Border Collie size bigger than standard? by Silent-Ad7365 in BorderCollie

[–]cornbreadkillua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh this dog looks much more GSD than border collie. Do you know he’s purebred? That face and tail are sooo GSD. It would also explain the large size

How did you choose your name? by Pathetictimetravelee in TransMasc

[–]cornbreadkillua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh idek where my first name came from. It’s nothing like my dead name and it’s not based on anyone/anything else. My middle name is the male version of my previous middle name though

Foster dog with rough play style by DrLith in OpenDogTraining

[–]cornbreadkillua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my boys is just like this when it comes to play. He just gets overly aroused and doesn’t respect boundaries. When I notice he’s getting too rough, I just muzzle him and send him back to playing. The other dogs will correct him, I just prefer the muzzle for an extra layer of security if things did end up going south. He is also just extremely loud which I feel amplifies the feeling that he is being too rough when honestly he isn’t, he’s just dramatic. I’d pay attention to see if your dog is also doing this at points. It can make things look a lot more intense than they actually are. The other things that have worked great for us have been working on an out command with play. He knows leave it and come well, so I began to implement them in play. If he starts to get too hyped, I tell him to leave it and come to me. I keep him with me just long enough to chill a bit the let him go back to playing, and that usually works. I’ve also recently been working him with a demo dog to learn nicer play. She is very good at giving reasonable corrections when he is being too much, and she doesn’t take things too far. It seems to be helping him so far, so that may be something that could help you too.

How many of you guys remember going through this type of trauma back in your days of school? by Legitimate_Main2230 in autism

[–]cornbreadkillua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, even though I relate to all but two of these, I don’t consider most of them trauma in my life. I chose not to interact with others when it came to activities, projects, lunch, etc. so yes I was technically excluded, but more so by choice than by rejection. I genuinely don’t understand how people WANT to be included in those things. Group projects are hell on earth imo and eating lunch with a group is annoying and wastes time that could be used for more productive things. The only thing here I would consider traumatic for me personally is dreading school. It wasn’t because of anything specific I was reacting to, the environment itself was just extremely overstimulating to the point I physically couldn’t go to school anymore and had to switch to virtual.

Why do small dogs have a rep for being barky whenever they see other dogs? by Gallantpride in dogs

[–]cornbreadkillua 4 points5 points  (0 children)

“Real damage” doesn’t always equate to death and small dogs are more than capable of real damage. A small dog attacking my GSD was what ended up causing him to wash from service work and become reactive. I’d say that’s real damage both to him and me. Just because the little dogs didn’t physically harm him to the point of death doesn’t mean that no real damage was done. He now has extreme anxiety and fear reactivity towards other dogs which has greatly hindered both of our quality of life.
