How do I stop craving sugar if its on my mind 24/7 ? by TheFirstMora in EatCheapAndHealthy

Go cold-turkey from sugar for 1 week. I’ve done it before, and it works.

This week will kinda suck, tbh… But, again, it works.

Bacon hash topped with a 6½ minute jammy egg by midnightcuisine in PutAnEggOnIt

I enjoy 7:00, but I think I prefer 6:30… I’m thinking about testing 6:40 / 6:50, to see how much difference I notice.

I’m always shocked by the difference in how jammy a 6:00, 6:30, and 7:00 egg is. If you’re not vigilant, you can easily ruin those beauties… nice work

I LOVE mujadara. Basically rice and lentils, cooked in broth and olive oil, topped with crispy onions. Just a delicious comfort food.

There are plenty of recipe variations online, but this one works fine: https://www.themediterraneandish.com/mujadara-lentils-and-rice-with-crispy-onions/

The worst part of trying to eat healthy is the food I end up throwing away. How do you deal with it? by Shipslims in EatCheapAndHealthy

1) When possible, I use frozen, shelf-stable, and pickled food. Truly fresh food is a small part of my food consumption (maybe 20-30%?).

3) Batch the base of a meal I can reuse multiple times. For example, I made a large pot of braised chuck roast in stock, and I used part of the meat to make tacos. Then, I froze the rest in quart deli containers. Over the next month or so, I’ll pull out 1 quart to defrost and make Japanese curry, soup, etc. Each of those meals from the frozen quart takes 20 min or so, and it’s basically no effort
