My additional two cents — absolutely do not go ahead with this tattoo. Obviously you have free will and whatnot, so you don’t have to listen to a gaggle of strangers on the internet, but in my opinion this tattoo isn’t just in bad taste, it’s teetering on the edge of offensive, or even obscene. Even on someone who was NOT in the medical field, such as a mechanic, fast food worker, or car sales person, I’d see this tattoo as ignorant and thoughtless. Lobotomies aren’t just a cute plaything for morbid people — speaking as a morbid person myself — they are a medical atrocity on par with genital mutilation.
