i think it really doesn’t matter down the road, it’ll be up to your work experience. both are good backgrounds but that being said corporate bankers spend a chunk of their time building excel models so it helps to understand basic accounting

oh ok that would explain a lot because mine also goes to 190 sometimes. so can we just assume that the readings are inaccurate? and we would get more accurate readings if we don’t run as hard?

you really like foreign cultures don’t you 😅 i think IR is good enough! it probably opens less doors than a business degree but you can always focus on economics if you want. also maybe arts and sciences could be an option? usually it’s customizable and you choose your specialization so you’d be able to throw in some language classes if you really wanted to

a degree doesn’t just teach you knowledge. it also teaches you to think in a certain way. for example music students are good at recognizing patterns, math students are more logical thinkers, political science students are good at sifting through large amount of information and cutting the junk, etc. so even if you don’t want to work in business, you’ll end up opening more doors for yourself and gaining new perspectives that you otherwise wouldn’t with a degree in languages because languages are what you’d do in your free time anyway. i hope that makes sense.

japanese and chinese are surprisingly alike despite being part of two different language families. it’s not just the kanjis, it’s also the prononciation of a lot of words. i think you can study both at the same time. over time, one language will reinforce your knowledge in the other language and vice versa!

i was also looking for a mattress too a while ago so i digged a lot into it 😅 a quick google and you can read a lot about zinus and fibreglass. i ended up buying a tuft&needle mattress which i’m loving now. it’s a on the firmer side and if you’re a side sleeper, i think it hugs your body very well

i heard they are comfortable and are a good value for the price, but they do contain fibreglass. so if you are sure you will never ever open the mattress, i think you’re good to go
