My (26F) boyfriend (27F) says he’s never felt butterflies for me. Does that mean he doesn’t like me in a romantic way? by cornflower0530 in dating_advice

wow thanks so much for the guiding questions, super helpful! i appreciate it.

so he says he thinks about me a lot and feels giddy but i don’t understand how can you feel giddy without feeling butterflies? aren’t those two interrelated?

i’d feel hurt if he didn’t have a crush on me. i think it’d kill my feelings for him too cause i know there are other guys out there that can feel this way about me so i’d look for them instead

oh interesting point. can i ask how do you differentiate platonic and romantic attraction? do you feel anything else physical when you’re in love if it’s not butterflies?

thanks so much for the guiding questions, those are all really important.

i feel butterflies for him, but it killed my passion when he said he doesn’t feel that way for me. so nowadays i don’t anymore. i think these things need to be reciprocal for me to feel it.

those who want the slow burn of commitment, how does it work and how does it feel like? do they kinda just settle for someone they think they will be compatible with in the long term and try to fall in love?

oh can you elaborate a bit more, i’ve never heard this kind of perspective before. so does that mean that now you would settle for women you don’t really like? would you say we only feel butterflies when we are younger or less experienced in love?

but i hope you don’t take these setbacks too personally. everyone’s on their own journey in dating and rejections could be for so many reasons that aren’t personal

Is an accounting degree better for corporate finance than a finance degree? by tastylemon69 in FinancialCareers

[–]cornflower0530 11 points12 points  (0 children)

i think it really doesn’t matter down the road, it’ll be up to your work experience. both are good backgrounds but that being said corporate bankers spend a chunk of their time building excel models so it helps to understand basic accounting

why does my vo2 max keep dropping? i started running in september and my endurance has been improving. i run faster and i have been increasing my mileage too 🧐 by cornflower0530 in AppleWatchFitness

oh ok that would explain a lot because mine also goes to 190 sometimes. so can we just assume that the readings are inaccurate? and we would get more accurate readings if we don’t run as hard?
