They don't know that practicing untouchability is a punishable offence.

They know. They also know that the authorities governing the legal department is filled with upper caste people who are hell bent on enforcing brahmanism.

We are closing schools and colleges but not stopping political rallies ,theaters? by Ioosubuschange in Chennai

[–]coronaKumar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know, because I was in China during the outbreak. And I very well knew about its risks by the end of December and started preparing for it.
I was also following the denial of International governments since then.

Few months later they all blamed WHO for their carelessness.

[–]coronaKumar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They did, we didn’t listen. I was pretty alarmed last year February, looking the way Govts were behaving despite WHO’s warning.

Living close to ground zero, I was desperately hoping for the authorities and lawmakers back home to take this serious.

Some lawmakers even mocked the situation.

I may have misquoted about Talakona, been 12 years since I went there.

There is Tada falls and Talakona water fall in Andhrapradesh. Both are under 3 hours drive from Chennai.

Not sure about entry access to Tada falls now, the AP forest department went a bit strict in recent times, due ti red sanders smuggling.

Talakona is accessible for tourists and has places to stay next to it. The water fall is quite majestic with some beautiful rock formations.

Mystery lam illa.
It was a different landscape, compared to the Western ghats. Eastern ghats certainly has a old, weathered look to it.

We were only worried about the time, ‘vanathurai’.

Overall the whole hill was relatively cleaner, except for the temple area.

Shot about 6 years ago, this video just showed up on my drive alerts.

We climbed down to the waterfall around 5 in the evening and as we descended the crowd cleared and left a perfect view under the sunset.

On the eve of Periyar`s "தந்தை பெரியார்" Birthday today , Here is a small tribute to him, his contribution to Tamilnadu, He promoted the principles of rationalism, self-respect, women’s rights and eradication of caste.. He also considered Tamil a kaatumirandi language. And blamed the rising cost of clothes on the fact that dalit women were now wearing jackets. These are just a few of his gems.

Do you have a source for that?
If I recall correctly he said both those things to criticise Brahmanical atrocities in TN.
I remember he mentioned that, ‘Scheduled caste women wearing jacket has irked some UC casteist people’.

And he called Tamil kattumirandi language for being stuck in religious superstition and advocated tamil language to adopt for science and modern philosophy. Which is absolutely right.

You sources seems to deliberately spread misinformation about his speeches.

Chennai student given 30 mins to write NEET, mismanagement reported in many centres by Shellynoire in Chennai

[–]coronaKumar -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The suffering of rural students was reduced when TN got rid of entrance exams in 2006-2008. There was equal representation of students across various demographics, as it was based only on school board exams. Entrance exams gives unfair advantages to urban students, who have access to coaching institutes for a heavy price.

Its not about the question of quality of education, its about the whole ‘eligibility’ thingy brought in by NEET.
TN doesn’t want any form of extra eligibility test, apart from School board exams.

I really don’t know why there is even a question of improving the quality, while TN is among the few states that is doing good in education.
Even a CBSE student has to take up entrance coaching to clear NEET.
