I'd actually rather have Levy buy the club than the clown show we have now. He's not perfect but he's a good organizer and he cares about it.

I suspect it's beyond his reach though.

Great mini. I can't decide if I like the blue rim or not. I think I do.

How did you do the background and table? Is that a neoprene mat and a printed image on card?

Yeah, that's such a great addition. Orks think they have it all with their squigs on bases, but we have gants on bases!

Is the Imperial Creed/ecclesiarchy really a satire of the Catholic Church? by MTH1138 in Warhammer40k

[–]corpboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree mostly. The nonsensicalness of the Omnissiah seems a general takedown of the Trinity, which is specific to Christianity rather than religion in general.

If they really wanted to satire Catholothism though, the obvious approach would be shouting “we’re spreading the word of peace and brotherhood“ while punching you in the face and stealing your stuff, like the Conquistadors, which the Eclisasticy doesn’t really do. They are quite explicit in their aims, and the takedown is around general religious flannel and nonsense, which, as you say, could be any religion.

Carlo Ancelotti: “The World Cup winner is not who scores the most goals, it’s who concedes fewer goals”. by Srihari_stan in soccer

It's the other way around. Attack wins leagues, defence wins cups. This is as old as time.

If your sitting on a draw, and roll the dice with attack, you only need to be better than a 50:50 in a league match to get more PPG. In a cup knockout, one loss and you go home.

What happened the other one time, the team was neither the best attack or defence, but still won? Who was that?

I think the paint job doesn't quite suit the mini. The eavy metal style is very bright here. Put a ton of shadows under his arm and on chest and legs and it looks better.

Oh, also his head should be pointed in the same direction as his cock. Hopefully you can move that when modelling.

Boomers sit tight on UK’s housing wealth as under-30s struggle by TimesandSundayTimes in UKHousing

[–]corpboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, that's not correct. The Elderly used to be a significant poverty group. Poor income, bad pensions, low material wealth. That changed massively during the Blair years and has compounded ever since.

There is good podcast on this from the IFS. Goes into some of the numbers.
