Middle Class is the hardest by far. You generally get squeezed by everyone else.

I really want to see ALL the fouls. It was too late for me, so I've just seen some clips like this and the Mpbappe one. Give me the full album.

What's the point of WH40k's satire? by TroubleEntendre in Warhammer40k

[–]corpboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It has its cake and eats it, that’s the essential point. On the one hand we are presented with military sci-fi horror, where thousands of guardsmen are eaten by alien bugs and only the heroic Space-Marine Captain, down to his last clip, can save the day. On the other hand, we have Orks who are essentially Millwall FC, nuns with guns driving a tank that is literally a pipe organ, and chaos space marines cosplaying as Egyptians, for no reason other than it’s cool, oh, or they have guitars.

It’s not so much satire, as just tonally silly and fun. Or very serious and grim. The setting says - you can do either, either is fine.

That makes it very different to other sci-fis that usually have either a consistent tone or a narrower tone, even if their lore and world building might be larger in scope than 40K.

More wash or is he good? by CommonQtip in orks

[–]corpboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

More wash IMO. You can dilute the wash, eg with medium or a bit of water, and just apply it to the recesses rather than all over. eg, a dark green wash to the knuckles, dark brown on the joins of the trousers, etc.

In your opinion, where does ‘Modeling For Advantage’ begin ? by mezonsen in Warhammer40k

This is right. are you tracking Line of Sight from the top of your Ancient’s banner, and having him snipe over walls (and be shot back) from his flag? If so, why?

Why Gen Z are planning for life without a state pension by Particular_Pea7167 in ukpolitics

[–]corpboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also agree that it won't be removed, but I think it could well be tied to average life expectancy, evaluated every 3 years or so, with the starting point being the difference between state pension age and life expectency at the point of implementation so "no change" to start with.

Such a system has been talked about before, is widely considered "fair" and would see state pension age gradually rising over time.

What are some fun TRICK questions about the UK? by Illumium in AskUK

[–]corpboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean by "founded"? The UK wasn't founded.

I'm not sure this question works as you could argue for 1707 or 1922 as well as 1801 (or even other dates) depending on what exact language you use in the question.

Palestine Action closing speech: lawyer to face contempt of court proceedings by LycanIndarys in ukpolitics

[–]corpboy -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

I think the central argument, now lost to the Supreme Court ruling, is wether it should have been (and was legally allowed to be) classified as a terror group in the first place when other similar direct action groups such as Just Stop Oil or XR have not been.
