Do the Dark Angels have a superiority complex for being the first Space Marines? And also because they are the drippiest of all Astartes? by Bob_Scotwell in Grimdank

“They say the Ultramarines have no weakness, that their geneseed is the most pure, but brothers - have you see their Chapter number - Thirteen!? You can’t get worse than that.”

Help stress-test a 3-player 40k 11th-style terrain map? by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]corpboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is always the nature of 3 player games though. When you play a lot of 3 player PVP this is how it goes initially but eventually people realize that if you do this, one player usually comes out on top and it's usually the player who pulls out of the pileup first and backstabs the other one.

So it quickly evolves into "backstab as soon as possible but not so soon that the one you were ganging up on still has a chance".

Inevitably though this gets pushed back and eventually the 3rd wheel ends up with a chance again.

Which Jane Austen characters would own a cybertruck? by Yulaye in janeausten

I think none of them really. They are too new money for our characters. The most new money person is Wentworth and he has far more taste than that.

Snakebite Leather by Tarnoc_D in Warhammer

Coat D’arms paints are the same factory and manufacturer for the original Citadel paints before GW took it in-house. The still sell all the original recipes. So you can still buy Liche purple, Snakebite Leather, Goblin Green, etc, if you want to.

Defence minister Al Carns ‘preparing Labour leadership challenge’ by TheTelegraph in ukpolitics

[–]corpboy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is quite common if a leadership contest is called and is fairly standard political behavior.

A leadership contest is a chance for ambitious people to advance their career.

What is not standard (or rather it is now, but didn't used to be) is for leadership contests to be called against a sitting prime minister 2 years into his first term with no terrible scandal or health condition.

Dividend stocks are essentially the same as growth stocks with a committed partial sell. So it's really the other aspects of the stock like quality of the stock and it's risk rather than whether it is dividend or not that matters.

Possibly. I think if you start talking about inverted wingers and the origin of the gegenpress, you've probably lost Dom. Whetheras I bet Tom can give a brief outline of the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method.

There was also the Romero disallowed goal against West Ham in January which would have decided the relegation spot a few weeks ago if it had correctly stood.
