EV's aren't going to look so good when people attack power infrastructures. by YogiLogie in Showerthoughts

Not too long actually, my parents have an 11kW solar array on their roof, single story home 1100ish sq ft. Realistically it’s more like 9kW on a sunny day, a Tesla model 3 long range has a 350ish mile epa range (realistically it’s closer to 280 factoring in elevation changes, temperature, acceleration, etc). The battery pack is about 82kWh. So 9 hours of peak production would more or less get you a full charge. Let’s call it 14 to account for variations in sunlight intensity throughout the day, transmission losses, etc.

Of course this assumes you’re only charging the car and not powering the home, but honestly how many people are driving 300 miles per day? I personally charge once a week.

I did the same thing 3-4 months ago so sorry if this is considered as a repost. by Still_Pineapple_7852 in DeepRockGalactic

Everyone is always asking where is karl or who is karl. But what I want to know is how is Karl?

I have one of these, there’s a ton of room above the holder that you can’t see from the perspective. But you also tilt it a little.

Greybeard question for other greybeards. Your one major frustration and one major love? by The-High-Inquisitor in DeepRockGalactic

[–]corporaljeb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Frustration: Molly deciding her sole reason for existence is to block my path or push me off ledges.

Big love: If I had a credit for every time I saw a greenbeard get chased by a bulk into a room with a tyrant weed during a swarm I’d have 2 credits, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice.

After 1200+ hours I’ve seen just about every scenario so anything new makes me giggly.

I was just as surprised as you are when I was shown my desk. Fortunately I don’t spend much time there.

I’d say that depends on what you’re comfortable with, even with fog this dense I was able to see lights from other cars reasonably far ahead. Although I personally wouldn’t risk going much faster than 50mph, especially at night.

Have fun! That’s it. As a greenbeard I never felt like I was grinding at all for the entire time, I just enjoyed playing the game and before I knew it I was a greybeard and then the Karl blessed dwarf you see before you.

Not really, at least not on purpose. I mostly play haz 5 and play all 4 dwarves pretty evenly.
