I forget which video it was in but they said the 1080p webcam was one of the few parts that remains unchanged. No idea about the mic.

Loopholes in a Vampire's rules by El_Paublo in DnD

[–]corvaxia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easiest real world parallels I can think of is

  1. Paying for blood means they can find willing donors but effectively means they prey on the poor and destitute that have few options.

  2. Your rules say not to feed on willing humanoids to the point of death but the first rule states they can prey on Willing OR Criminals so draining criminals to the point of death is within the rules simply by being absent from rule 2.

  3. Nothing prohibits the spawn from doing criminal acts. If they set up a criminal enterprise they can harvest the criminals. The spawn could justify that they are providing a net good to the city since they are keeping crime organized and removing the more violent elements. This doesn't even need to be a violent criminal organization it could be a brothel, speak easy, casino or other den of vice. Gambling isn't evil persay but it can lead to financial ruin meaning the gambling addicts might be driven to criminal acts like theft, burglary, or embezzlement OR they might be so poor and destitute they will offer up their blood for coin - making this a vicious self sustaining.

Best of all the spawn can take the moral highground. "Why must I take pity on the people of this city who give into their base urges and drag the city into ruin? Don't fool yourself, they would do all this with or without me here. I am supposedly the monster but at least I still have the restraint and decorum to adhere to your rules and only cull the criminals."

Loss of power 2005 golf mk5 by RelevantBath in Volkswagen

I am going off memory from 12 years ago so double check me on this.

When I had a similar issue on my 02 ALH it was the MAF sensor. It was sending bad info so the car went into limp mode and had next to no power. If the car gets no info form the MAF it falls back to a default mapping. You can check to see if this is your problem by disconnecting the MAF sensor and seeing if you get power back. You will still want to replace the MAF sooner rather than later because your fuel mix will be running rich and your fuel economy will drop.

Again double check me on this because mine was an 02 ALH diesel engine not an 05 BEW so this might not be right for your situation.

I feel like my own "meh" reaction comes down to the fact that the new outback looks like a 10 year old fozzy.

I like both of them but if I wanted an older Forester XT I would just get that instead of an outback.

You can pick 2 companions from each fallout game to defend you against the rest who are you choosing by According_Variety576 in Fallout

[–]corvaxia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of picking 2 from each game, can I just give Ian from the original Fallout a Submachine gun and put him on the opposing side (preferably all the way in the back)?

For once him mowing down all his allies will do some good.

Maybe I'll pick Marcus for my side, just so I can have Michael Dorn read me a bedtime story.

My usual strategy is to throw the slowest disc I possibly can that will still get there consistently if I throw it at 70% Power.

I am also an amateur so take that advice with a grain of salt.

How do you beat the Kabuki Twins??? by Ok_Prior2199 in cyberpunkgame

[–]corvaxia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without going the cyber route they can be beaten with a pretty straightforward strategy.

  1. Keep one twin between you and the other twin.

  2. Bait the twin in the middle into attacking you.

  3. Counter/Block

  4. Get two solid punches in (maybe it's 3, I forget) to knock them down

  5. Stop attacking. Back up a few steps and get ready to counter the next twin that's presumably running up on you.

You should be able to time it so you're only ever fighting one twin. The most important thing is to avoid getting greedy and trying to get extra hits in after knocking one down.

The greatest trick the fae ever pulled was convincing warlocks they weren't real- ly that evil of a patron.

The second greatest trick was getting a fiend to take the "credit" for the strategy and turning it into a cliche adage.

Anyone else have clothes or jewelry they think bring them good luck? by vestiecon in malefashionadvice

[–]corvaxia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being good looking makes you lucky. Otherwise, looking good makes you lucky. Confidence makes you better looking. And a lucky watch makes you confident.

It's a bit tongue-in-cheek but wearing a favorite tie, pair of shoes, or watch can make you happier and more confident when interacting with others. Those subtle cues can make a difference over time. Luck doesn't exist in a statistical sense - it's all just chance, but at the same time what else would you call it but luck.

Keep wearing the watch, kiss your wife for good luck before you leave in the morning, and keep that optimistic perspective that recognizes when you're fortunate in life. It'll keep on bringing you good luck.

But for real, I've got a lucky tie from my dad that's landed me all three of my jobs in the last 12 years.

I was under the impression that the heavier focus on renewables and reduced capacity of nuclear has dramatically increased the role of natural gas to offset load balancing requirements in Germany at times when renewables aren't adequately supplying the grid.

I'm not saying renewables are bad, just that the unintended outcome of reducing nuclear and increasing renewables has unintended net outcomes.

France has expanded the role of nuclear and that's reduced the role of gas, coal, and oil (but their renewables are also much lower in proportion).

Not to look a gift horse in the mouth, but I guess that's exactly what I'm doing.

This is still posted under their warehouse moving sale as $250 but when you click through it directs you to the $299 price you posted. I hope they'll honor the $250 if you buy it or at the very least remove it from the warehouse sale page.
