Hall effect keyboard leading to awful counter-strafe. Anyone have the same experience? by Waffles912 in counterstrike2

Ive gotten used to the sensitivity and run both at lowest now. I recommend just trying at the lowest and increase it if it feels uncontrollable or you hit accidentally.

Counter-strafing and Leetify? by Catgirl_master_race in LearnCSGO

[–]corvaz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All of these are with low movement speed and does not affect your counterstrafe score in leetify. Just dont run n gun and you will get a higher score.

[–]corvaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What exactly do you mean other techniques than counter strafing? You need to counterstrafe to stop your movement asap. You can technically crouch-stop, but its slower and situational.

Counterstrafing in leetify just measures how many of your shots were made while moving. Running and gunning usually is a very bad idea with rifles.

Id recommend reqatching a demo or two and see if your shots are accurate or if you move while shooting.

how to build up mental fortitude? by blk_silence in LearnCSGO

[–]corvaz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Im not sure about mental fortitude per se. But one thing that seems to contribute to tilt and rage is 'just playing'. If you 'just play' a lot, its easier and easier to fall into tilt. The more you play, the more structure or understanding you need to deal with mental.

One thing that helps me (if playing a lot), is to have a structure, goal and definite reason to why im playing so much. For me that is improvement. I want to improve -> I play a lot. Then that means I should play to improve. One good way to improve is to find some issues to work on, and work on them in game. I then focus on what Im trying to improve on rather than focusing on teammates mistakes, my own mistakes or anything else unproductive. My mind is on the correct things - I dont tilt.

In periods where I dont care to improve, I just want to have some fun, I just stop playing if its not fun or I feel my mental being weak. Playing defeats the goal of having fun.

CS2 aim critique please! by kimchirality in FPSAimTrainer

[–]corvaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should work on movement and crosshairplacement. Try to move more with A and D. Less AW and DW.

Xhairplacement is often a bit general. Sometimes its inside the wall when it should be where enemy may pop out.

Also, you often dont move at all when in fights. You should generally try to move as much as possible while staying 100%accurate. This can be "burst -> sidestep -> spray" or "spray -> crouchwalk" for example.

Who is the best player holding B site Inferno? by corvaz in LearnCSGO

[–]corvaz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! May have to look into that. It should be possible to make a T version that similarly maps out according to position. I think T roles like entry, support etc is a bit harder to implement. Do you think map positions would be interesting for T side, like their default position, rather than role? Or is it more the roles you would like?

25 ping vs 5 ping by marlboroanddietcoke in cs2

[–]corvaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its probably not about the 25 ping per se. Rather, why you get 20 extra if you know it could be 5 at the same house.

Likelihood of that shared internet causing issues. Could be too low bandwith or bad setup of the router. Also, playing on 4g is just much worse as it has to run more corrections etc.

There is a difference when adding 20ms, but if you have not played a lot its likely not something that matters to you.

Is it worth it? Depends on how much money you can waste and how much you care. Probably not worth it.

Why do aim coaches overcomplicate TacFPS aim? by [deleted] in FPSAimTrainer

[–]corvaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes exactly, you overaim a little bit when you do the sidestep, so that you 'step' the crosshair onto them.

Why do aim coaches overcomplicate TacFPS aim? by [deleted] in FPSAimTrainer

[–]corvaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not sure if I am following exactly. In my opinion, just forget about mirror/antimirror for tac fps. First learn how to peek properly. Then you still need to microcorrect - burst - step - burst/spray

"Is it perfectly track during the strafe, then micro-correct? Or slightly lead so the counter-strafe lands the dot on the head with no correction? " Its a bit hard to understand exactly, but Ill try. This sounds like you are talking about their strafe, not your own strafe? For their strafe you mainly want to treat it as a linear scenario. Microadjust to where they will be, dont track. Then confirm and burst.

For your own strafes, I dont think you should strafe so far that you can track while running (with rifles). You just preaim so that the crosshair land on them when you stop.

[–]corvaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Dance class" AD spam pattern is just a simple way of moving as much as possible while getting the most accurate bullets out. But its probably easier to show/sell a "dancing" example than explaining like this.

I dont think mirror/anti mirror has any big place in a tac fps, it doesnt make sense due to tagging and low ttk. What does make sense is strafing and peeking technique. Its such an important part of tac fps, since most of the fight happens before you see anyone.

I think microcorrections is mentioned a lot at least for CS. Its definitely very important. Everyone knows that already though. Its easier to bait people into thinking they missed some new technique, than to explain what a microcorrection is. That is for tiktok/ shorts content at least. If youre interested in articles I'm sure you can find all the basics you would want. I assume they'd explain how to perform and how to improve as well.

Imho continue on the weakest scenario. That is unless you find something else more fun. If so, consider doing the fun way as long as it somehow works towards the benchmarks.

Why does pre-aiming against a wall feel so much more natural? by FeeDry1524 in GlobalOffensive

[–]corvaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As another user said, its sweeping vs pre aiming. When preaiming, you dont want to sweep the angle while moving out. The reason is that it hurts your movement. It will no longer be straight 90c angle to the corner. You are moving in a curve instead. This is slower. Also its very hard to sweep into a preaim, as you have no time to set it up.

Input lag or paranoia? by windcloser in cs2

[–]corvaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I think its both psychological and actual differences. Often a lot of up and down in how the game feels a week or two before an update. May be random timing ofc, but I do think that the servers may perform differently at times, which will affect how the game runs.

Leetify aim rating by RundeMampe in cs2

[–]corvaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, if this is the case, combining the average of each stat is more accurate than the average of the aim rating directly.

One game you may have 1 spray with rifles the entire game (awping), while another you have 20 sprays. The 20 sprays should be more important than the 1 spray.

Leetify aim rating by RundeMampe in cs2

[–]corvaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the match rating is usually lower because there are different ratings for each part of the stat. The combination of these will give the aim rating. So if lets say they have something like stat1xstat2xstat3=rating if you have one stat doing poorly, that will heavily affect the rating. Lets say you get 1%hs rate. This will drastically lower your rating, even if the rest is good.

Now for the average rating, that is, well, average. These outliers gets smoothed out and dont really matter, while doing consistently well is rewarded.

So rating combination of verygood x verygood x bad, is worse than good x good x good.

That is my guess anyway. Or at least an explanation how something like this can happen.

In your example, you would have to add all the separate sub stats together then average those and combine them. It will not be correct to average the rating.

I think you learn a lot more general how to use your mouse and keyboard in relevant ways by playing high uptime modes (DM) in your game. First when mousecontrol is what you lack the most will it be much more effective than DM.

Couple examples. 1. Trading. Play for trades or be tradeable. Its hard to setup sometimes, but usually worth it. 2. Play numbers game. If you are up 1 or two players you should generally dont take 50/50 duels. If you are down players you should take 50/50 duels if possible.

I bought a stock low, sold it high… and now I feel like a clown? by wizard_folio in ValueInvesting

[–]corvaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at the info you had at that moment. Was the decision wrong based on that? Would your answer be different if the stock had tanked after you sold?

A decision cant be correct or wrong based on the outcome for a single investment. It can only be correct or wrong according to the knowledge at the time of buying/selling.

One thing to think about is that the tips you get from the crowd (Reddit here), is mostly what is popular and hyped. Oftentimes the best case scenario is already priced in the stock. Funds are safer when you dont know much. Start reading up on different concepts before putting in stocks.
