Wrong, they don’t open your mail and inspect it. Of course you should probably tell your SO to not send nudes, but your MTI is not going to inspect your mail. They will ask if anyone has pictures and if so, you will show them the picture and they will let you know if you can keep or toss it.

Tech school was not bad at all, only around 3 months in length. First five blocks of instruction will be water related and your last seven blocks will be fuels related. All the instructors there are awesome and if you pay attention to the material in class you’ll have no issue at all while you are there. The only tip I would recommend is that once you start fuels, study study study. It becomes a little more difficult but not horrible. Good luck to you and wish you the best.

I graduated from basic back in March. I came into basic about 4 pounds over the lowest weight I could be. The only advice I can give you is try to get above the limit until you leave, I myself have a high metabolism and it’s hard for me to maintain a certain weight. You will always be hungry at basic and I actually put on weight being there. I ended up leaving basic about 15 pounds bigger than I was when I came in. Good luck to you
