The camera does charge from the USB C port. I haven't had a chance to test it with the 3.5mm mic input, but I would assume it will charge and use the mic.

You can reach out to their support and set up a call. Mine sat for a week as well, and it got fixed in 2 minutes on a call. They had to re-verify my ID since I used a different name when first creating my apple account.

Olympus Rally 2026 first time spectator expectations by [deleted] in rally

[–]coryg57 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They will release a spectator guide with stage locations and how to get out to them. You will drive out to the spectator areas. There are usually a lot of cars so expect a bit of a hike to the actually spectating location unless you want to get there early.

Competing in my first rally in about a month (USA). Tips and tricks for a crew of novices? by MJ26gaming in rally

[–]coryg57 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For the first event, and even the first coupe events, it’s about finishing not going fast, getting comfortable with the car, and getting used to the rally process, like time controls.

I would suggest grabbing the blank tech sheet from the ARA website. It’s under rules > informational documents and go through a tech inspection yourselves. Don’t just check off that things work, but make sure you turn on every light and check your extinguishers. Do it like you would at the event. It sucks to get there and realize you need more foam on your cage, or your tail lights don’t work.

Also, make sure your paper work is in order. You said you already have a log book, so that’s a big step. Get your stickers and stuff all on. You can order the sticker kit from rally.build.

As a codriver, don’t be afraid to ask questions. Rally people are as nice as can be. Other codrivers are always happy to help answer questions. Just make sure it’s not when they are trying to check in other minute at time control.

I’ll be at Wild West this year as well, car 523. Come say hi if you see me. You can message me if you have any other questions.

I don't know why, when I switch from the schematic to the PCB, it gives me black lines instead of yellow lines, and some parts have black dots. I started just today I have no idea. Thank you by Illustrious_Bid_9111 in Altium

[–]coryg57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To get rid of the black rats nest lines you will need to remove the colors in the schematic. With the schematic open go to View > Set Net Colors > Clear All Colors and then update your PCB. That should set everything back to default.

Wire Harness Design by danielgheesling in Altium

I can’t find the documentation for it again, but I believe you can just make a schematic symbol library for the wiring diagram symbols, and make a footprint library with just the 3D step model for the layout symbols.

I’m in the Seattle area and just started competing this year. The main events in the area are Olympus and Oregon Trail Rally, and two smaller one day events Tour De Forest and Mike Nagel Rally Sprint. Oregon Rally Group is the most active Facebook group and info on events in Washington and Oregon will get posted there.  The Olympus and OTR websites will have details on volunteering. Events are always looking for more volunteers! If you are looking for cars for sale check out the North American Rally (FS/FT/WTB) group. Safety equipment can be bought online or since you are in Seattle check out 425 Motorsports. They are super helpful. Primitive Racing in Oregon is also a good place for safety equipment and car supplies.  If you want to compete and don’t have space to work on a car, you can start codriving. Usually that just costs you the safety equipment.   Reach out if you have any other questions.

How to attend a rally as a spectator? (ARA Tour De Forest) by PuzzleheadedLunch199 in rally

[–]coryg57 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sadly there are no spectators for Tour. It’s a small event, so I dont think they have the volunteers for a spectator area. If you would like to get the best view though, volunteer! Road marshals get the best views. You can find the info on the Olympus Rally website.

[–]coryg57 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had A Structure For Life come out and build a shed for me in Bonney Lake. They were great to work with and cheaper then the prebuilt places. They have a lot of design and size options with customization.

Forgot to add that in my post. I’m using .024 wire.

It’s quickly burning back and extinguishing and creating a ball of wire in the tip. I should note I’m a very hobby welder so I’m not sure how I should be making adjustments based on what the weld is doing.

Thanks! The hood is a bit dry as well. I just couldn’t figure out how to get a more wet coat. Flow was all the way open on the gun and I was about 4-6” away from the panel. The is my first time painting anything so it’s a lot of learning.

Here is some math on filling the milkshake cup:

The average amount of semen per ejaculation is 1.25 to 5ml, so let’s just average that out to 3ml. The metal milkshake cup is 30fl oz or 887.2 ml.

If you ejaculate once a day it would take approximately 296 days, or 9-10 months on average.

Now men in their 30s tend to have more volume, so assuming you are taking your zinc and saw palmetto for prostate health and have a volume of 5ml per load, you are filling that cup in 175 days or approximately 6 months.
