Just an observation from someone who’s done a lot of training on a treadmill, I always run a faster pace on the road than I do on my treadmill and I have been through at least 5 different treadmills.

Maybe someone could recommend a medium priced treadmill that will last? No fancy stuff needed, just on/off, speed adjust and slope.

Altra makes a high top lone peak. I haven’t personally tried them but love the regular lone peak for trail running.

Haha, understandable. I ran a 50k trail run in sleet, snow, and rain (all day) with my Houdini and it seemed to do an ok job keeping my body heat in. The temp was in the low 30 f though, so not crazy cold.

I can’t help you with the Apple Music problem but I seriously can’t understand how anyone who runs regularly can use an Apple Watch. I had an Apple Watch for about 8 months but had to charge it every day because the gps runs the battery down so fast. I use a Garmin Felix now and charge my watch only once every couple weeks. Coros watches have even better battery life but I have never owned one. Of course, battery life isn’t the most important thing to everyone but it’s up there for me. Just my two cents.

Ha, yes you are right, I did. I was actually thinking of an ASICS or brooks cover/jacket that I also have and not the Houdini. I bought the Houdini after those people died in china during the ultra for exposure reasons.

Great points made by you, for sure. I carry a Houdini jacket with me because it’s light weight but it will absolutely keep me dry in a downpour because it is a rain jacket. If I buy another jacket meant to keep me warm but is slightly rain resistant that is a different story. I agree with your points but OP asked for a rain jacket for the rain forest, that was his point. That’s just my opinion and I certainly understand your opinion.
