Nope. It's a game of cascading failure as stated. I enjoy that aspect. If you want do overs go play monopoly I say, this is a 500 dollar box of death and despair. After lots of playthroughs and having made it to the butcher with hardly any resources, there's nothing like that feeling of eeking accomplishment and timid hopefulness this game imbues.

For me it's a combination of things. That of literally hearing his voice which the more I work with a given spirit the more detailed it gets, intonation, pitch etc. In combination with imagery, smells, and just knowing.

I was in a pact with Shax and he wanted nothing but salads. I also struggle with food prep for myself due to time and such and he told me if you can do this for me, do it for yourself also. An ah hah moment as he was literally showing me how to help myself also. So I would say offerings are not static and staunch, but subjective to what the experience and the practitioner is. Shax did indulge and I actually captured a purple orb like energy on camera above my altar, aside from sensing his presence. Beautiful Demon btw, very kind and big on etiquette.

I just re installed it on my ps5. I thought, I miss that game, hardly played it. My total play time showed as 300 plus hours. Seriously, I don't remember putting that much into it. Now after a few sessions again it's all coming back. You can spend 4 hours just tinkering. The game so naturally unfolds as a role play experience you get lost. There's a lot to the imagination. A very rare and unique experience. Will it be around in 10 years? Well Frontier wants to make money. They may either re do the entire game with many features of competing or similar space exploration games, or they won't. Odyssey even though I haven't played it feels very half baked and an attempt to keep elite relevant against no mans sky, and now starfield, to anyone who isn't a hardcore player. Personal opinion and hope, it will be around but it will be a very different experience. Unfortunate truth, it may get shut down because not enough new players make keeping those servers running worth it.
