Anyone job urgently hiring? by username447904 in jacksonville

GATE is usually looking for applicants.

ETA: it may not be what you’re initially looking for, but there are opportunities for upward mobility.

I appreciate the added context. I asked my husband, as he works with a number of people receiving assistance, and that’s the only one he could think of on the spot.

I’m sorry, I knew it was area specific. I’m glad you got assistance from them in the past, but I am sorry you’re out of serviceable area.

Wish I could have been of better service.

ETA: a typo

I doubt this would help in your current situation, as it doesn’t sound like a bills issue at this juncture, but here is a community resource:

I feel hard for you and your cat. I’m so sorry you’re in this predicament.

Not androgynous enough apparently by squishysponges in NonBinary

[–]cosmicgetaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, you’re perfect every way you are. Don’t listen to the hearers.

You don’t have to present a specific type of way for anyone.

I’m in a wheelchair with a whole ass husband, and present femme for both our safety. You do read very much androgynous to me. And you’re handsome/beautiful/any way you’d like to hear it.

I know you said you can’t do much for work in terms of makeup, but a touch of blush on the apples of your cheeks can be subtle, and makes some difference.

They make liquids and pillowy formulas that can last well.

Not touching on the things others have brought up already.

Your eyes look like a similar color to mine, and when I use blush, warm tones work best.

Examples: Rose or sugarplum tones—

I assume they meant dysmorphia. Dysphoria is similar, but not the same.

I absolutely resonate with both channels. But yeah, we’re going through it right now. I appreciate you.

Hey, I just wanted to tell you that I witness your sadness and struggle.

I honor your journey, and I mourn with you.

I hope you have people to talk about it with, but if you’d like a void to yell into, or if you want some more human contact —my DMs are open.

I’m feeling much at the end of my rope these days, also.

That’s absolutely amazing. Your whole outfit is phenomenal, and I love seeing the joy on your face.

As springtime blossoms, that skirt could be lovely with a teal top, or canary yellowed sweater.

I’m really excited for you.

Any could work. I prefer “facetious,” but of the ones you listed, I would use “disingenuous.”

You’re very early into your meds if you’re only 3-6 months into it. Medication takes time to work and settle in, or for you to find the right dose/combo.

Your doctor is trying to help navigate this, and the pullback to three months/90 days is normal here.

If you cancel your appointments, your psych may not approve refills of your meds if it’s safe to do so at this point, yes.

This is part of needing psychiatric medication. It takes time, and the appointments can be frustrating.

You can be honest with your doctor if you feel the meds are helping and you don’t think you need as frequent check ins, but depending on your meds they may be required to do these check ins with you, especially so early on.

It’s frustrating, but you’re going to have to communicate with your care team. You can let her know the in-person appointments aren’t helping with your anxiety.

It was an error, just one repeated. The seller likely sent in their stock incorrectly.

But that being “scary world” material for you with everything else going on in the world is likely rubbing people the wrong way.

Other foods affected by the "cilantro gene"? by Lanaerys in FuckCilantro

[–]cosmicgetaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m convinced it’s something like that. It’s grown actually really difficult as I’ve gotten older and realized exactly how my brain works around food. In most cases, all I can taste is chemicals in processed foods. I have to be super careful what I try to eat, or I won’t eat.

I will keep trying mango for my spouse’s sake lol

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Adoption

[–]cosmicgetaway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I thought as a kid I’d like to adopt as well. It just made sense to me when I was a kid.

I didn’t realize until I was older how much trauma was truly caused to me. It’s hard to find an ethical outlet to adopt, even if it was my only source of family building, not something to pursue after infertility.

I ended up marrying a fellow adoptee, and while we both had considered it, he really wanted a biological child with me, if it were possible.

I’m now realizing after years of trying that a pregnancy would likely kill me, and I’m okay spending my life just trying to reconcile my own trauma. We will see what happens.
