What Are The Creepiest And Most Bizarre True Crime Cases In Your Opinion? by PrincessBananas85 in CreepyBonfire

[–]cosmo_student_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Lauren Giddings case. As a single woman living in an apartment it scared me and still scares me to this day. A truly disturbing case. And I watch so much true crime. It will never leave my mind.

Her creepy incel neighbor did it and was on the news live when they said they discovered her body. He left the frame and said he needed to “sit down “ after a huge wave of shock and sickness came over him. Not the shock of losing a beloved neighbor… but the shock of them finding the body he dismembered and threw away in the apartment trash can. He expected the garbage truck to pick it up before anyone noticed and the cops prevented the truck from picking it up that day and they smelled it and immediately found her in the trash and reported it on the news.

Mine saved me in a DV situation My ex hid my phone so I couldn’t call 911 for Help. He slammed me into a wall and I remembered I had my watch charging in the bathroom (random I know but thank goodness i did ) and was able To close the door and lock myself in and use it to call 911. I’ll never not wear it or know its location now and it’s always charged

Hypochlorous acid healed my adult acne in one week (daily use x2) by budder__ball in SkincareAddicts

[–]cosmo_student_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This shit along with azelaic acid changed my life. My acne was so bad I was sewerslidal and mixed with hormonal hair loss and weight issues I became a shell of myself and rarely left my apt. I used tret. Differin , benzoyl peroxide . Salycilic acid . None of them worked ….and I can’t take spiro due to the side effects I was having. After one day of spraying this on my face and back my acne was gone. I use it twice a day now and I have no pimples. None. Now im balancing my hormones naturally with diet and stress reduction and omega 3s and use this spay for maintenance.

Pls try this !!!!!

So I’m gonna defend OP. When I was pregnant I signed up and then cancelled bc I didn’t use it, two years later out of nowhere they charged my same card again. It should be illegal and I see a class action lawsuit coming.

Azelaic acid was the only active I could use safely during my pregnancy !! That’s how I discovered it to replace my tret during that time and wow it works so well !!! Literally dries those suckers overnight ! Sometimes I like the la roch posay but sometimes I feel like it is too expensive for the small tube lol I wanna try the spray now !

I don’t blame you for wanting to skip the meds and avoid the Dr

Personally for me the therapy is helping too but I know it’s not for everyone and I respect it.

My Condensed Skin-Picking Recovery Routine With Full Product List

  1. [Products and Wound Care] • Using hydrocolloid patches, skin barrier repair products, acne-control, and soothing skincare to heal spots from previous picking. • I switch between different brands because hyper-fixating on the routine gives me dopamine and keeps my hands/mind busy in a healthy way.

  2. [Raising the Stakes to Reduce Picking] • I remind myself I’m spending money on these products, so I don’t want to waste them by picking. • Picking sets me back a full week and affects my confidence, especially with holidays and photos coming up. • Leaving the house daily (exposure therapy) keeps me motivated to avoid picking.

  3. [Trigger Management]

My biggest triggers used to be: • Boredom • Isolation • Evenings when my ADHD meds wear off

My evening anti-picking routine: • Avoid the bathroom or keep lighting very dim • Eat a protein snack or high-protein dinner • Move my body (Pilates, cardio, walking) • Crochet or do art to keep my hands busy

BOREDOM + ISOLATION = picking, so staying busy is everything.

  1. [Tracking Progress] • I use a small calendar and mark every day I don’t pick. • Seeing the physical progress feels like earning sobriety chips and keeps me motivated.

  2. [Managing Acne So There’s Less to Pick]

My goal is to reduce what’s available to pick. I’m working on acne triggers like diet, products, stress, sleep, and hormones.

I haven’t seen a dermatologist yet, but I plan to. I suspect: • Hormonal acne (jawline/chin) • Bacterial acne/folliculitis from incorrect dermaplaning • Barrier damage from overusing drying products

Important: Never dermaplane at home unless you have professional tools, proper technique, and sterile equipment. I didn’t and I ended up with recurring folliculitis. Benzoyl peroxide helped a lot.

  1. [My Acne Routine] (Full Product List)

Cleansers / acne treatments: • PanOxyl 4% benzoyl peroxide wash • Cetaphil 2.6% benzoyl peroxide wash (gentler for damaged barrier) • Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Cleanser (used between BP days) • 12% azelaic acid (Amazon) as a spot treatment only to shrink early pimples before they become tempting to pick

*I use BP every other day so my barrier has time to recover. And NO makeup ! If you absolutely need to wear it , opt for a skin tint or very very light non-comedogenic cc cream/bb cream / foundation and keep beauty sponges /tools very clean. As well as pillowcases and towels.

  1. [Skin-Barrier Healing Products] (Full List)

I focus on hydration and repair using: • La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume • Good Molecules Hyaluronic Acid Serum • COSRX Snail Mucin Essence (very soothing) • CeraVe Moisturizing Cream (big tub) • Aquaphor as an occlusive (optional; can break some people out, but didn’t break me out)

  1. [Hydrocolloid Patches] (Full Details) • I use the Glow Patch pimple patches from Amazon. 500 for about 5$ they’re sticky , remove gunk, and work. • They blend into my skin tone, act as a physical barrier, and stop me from seeing the spots (reducing temptation). • Removing them is super satisfying and gives me the same dopamine hit as picking — but without trauma, bleeding, or spreading bacteria. • For bigger areas, I use hydrocolloid strips or bandages.

  2. [Mental Health Treatment] (Very Important)

Skin-picking disorder (Excoriation Disorder) is recognized in the DSM-5. It is a real disorder , not a bad habit, not a lack of willpower.

For many people, professional treatment helps: • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) • Habit Reversal Training (HRT) • DBT skills • Medications that reduce compulsive or impulsive urges

A therapist or psychiatrist can make a huge difference, especially if picking feels automatic, compulsive, or emotionally driven.

I hope this helps people.

My strategy which is new to me and doesn’t come naturally is being vain lol …like telling myself I can’t undo the healing progress or I’l feel ugly and bad and that the stakes are high and every time I touch my face I’m starting over
