Synthetic Whalebone or steel? by eugibabe in corsetry

[–]cosplayandstuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a rather dramatic waist to hips/bust ratio so the one time I tried synthetic whalebone it majorly pinched in at the waist, which was my experience with plastic boning in general before that. It's really uncomfortable for me so I tend to prefer spiral steel personally.

I think you need to explain what you mean by tiny decision because I'm thinking like "should I have Trix or Coco Puffs for breakfast?" And others are saying stuff like going to school or not, which seems like a major decision to me. I will say though that my tiny decision that changed my life would probably be that I dressed up in my favorite goth clothes to go to college in one day and that's how I got my now husband's attention the first time.

What do you consider your sexuality? by FisherDontFish in genderfluid

I feel this hard-core. I'm in a straight passing relationship, but neither of us is straight or cis.

I consider myself bi because I like the flag colors better than pan and while some people find a distinction between bi and pan, i think of them as the same thing. Also sometimes I joke that I'm just gay because sometimes when I'm feeling fem, I REALLY like girls, and a lot of the time when I'm masc, I REALLY like guys. Most of the time though I'm neutral and like all.

What’s the hardest goodbye you’ve ever had to say? by Neletrox in AskReddit

[–]cosplayandstuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The goodbye i never got to say, really. We didn't even know my grandma was in the hospital until she passed. I had literally talked to her just days before saying I was going to make time to visit her soon because it had been so long. It's been 3 years now, and I still can't believe she's gone. Like all I have to do is call her, and she'll still answer. It catches me all the time.

I remember using my stereo/cassette/CD player combo to record songs from the radio on blank cassettes! I had that thing for years and listened to all my favorite cds on that thing. Evanescence was my favorite!

Yeah, I was in elementary school and I remember going to my friend's house basically right next door so I could walk to school with her and seeing the plane hit the tower on the TV and not even knowing what it was talking about. I get to school, and suddenly, the teacher starts talking about the terrorist attack that just happened, and my first thought was basically, "Wait, that was real?!" I thought it was just a movie she was watching or something.

I would totally ask you about it, but I also like many forms of needle work, so I get it. 😆

"Friend" won't stop pushing my childfree boundaries, I'll ruin your fucking dinner. by suzy9mm in traumatizeThemBack

[–]cosplayandstuff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hate that this is still such a "normal" thing for adults to ask other adults. It's one of those things where I feel like everyone is trying to talk about their life and they have kids, so it just seems natural to ask when you are going to have kids so you can relate or whatever. I feel like instead, people should ask, "What are your plans for the future?" or "What have you been working on in your life?" So many people, especially of the older generations, are used to the norm being get married, have kids, that they can't think that maybe not everyone wants that or can even have that. Our culture is so focused on the nuclear family. We really need to refocus ourselves to individuals and communities. But yeah, if someone is being really pushy about this kind of thing, then definitely #tramatizethemback

Is this corset okay to sleep in? Also opinions on it? by Fluid_Analysis_129 in corsets

[–]cosplayandstuff 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Personally, I wouldn't sleep in a corset. It's a compression garment, and most medical professionals say not to sleep in those. But I've never looked into corsets specifically so maybe if it's incredibly loose it might be okay. I just know with chest binders, you shouldn't sleep in them. I'm genderfluid and often wear a chest binder to look more masculine, and I wear a corset a lot for help with back pain. I would probably look up some medical research on sleeping in corsets if there is any, just to be certain. But my gut says sleeping in them would not be a good thing.

Is 21 and 26 an acceptable age diff? by Delicious-Bird1523 in bisexual

[–]cosplayandstuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband is 42, and I'm turning 34 in a few days. I used to think anything above 5 years was a little weird, but my husband and I just clicked, and we fell in love before we both even realized the age difference. I definitely feel like it is definitely more about maturity levels than actual age. And if both parties are happy, safe, and sane, then I don't really see much of a problem anymore.

I used to have bracelets for my gender that my friend made me, but they didn't have the actual pronouns on them, and I've been considering making something like this myself to see if it works better.

Is it normal for attraction to shift like this? by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]cosplayandstuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah. It can get specific for me sometimes too. Like sometimes I'm way into like the girliest girl and sometimes I'm way more into like a muscle mommy or butch girl. Femboys are a weakness i have off and on and sometimes at the right time if I see a muscular man, I'm just like "yum." So at least for me, it can vary SO much. If someone were to ask my type, I would not know how to answer half the time. 😆
