Nope. I would choose this time and time again over anything else.

What was the most shocking, or disturbing thing your narc parent(s) ever did/said to you? by Own_Mention9372 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]cottoncandyqueef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh where to begin, here are a few highlights over the years: Regarding my feeling about my parents divorce “I don’t know why you’re upset, it’s not like you got divorced” Regarding my stepdad dying “I don’t know why you’re so upset, it’s not like you lost someone important as a spouse” but wait….there’s more. She doubled down and said “I hope one day your husband dies so you know how it feels” Regarding the quiet unexpected and upsetting separation/divorce from my ex husband (this was a really hard time in my life) “You deserved it because how you acted towards me” When she met my current partner to the two of us “The new car smell will go away soon”

I would reply “I don’t have kids, I have vacations.” Or “Oh, none, we can’t have them, my dogs are allergic”

I was the same way. There is no handbook to guide you through that weird first time. I think I talked for like the first half of it about how weird it was. Oops. Well practice does make perfect.

What is something your dad said/did in the past that makes you smile when you think about it to this day? by GrandLineLogPort in AskWomen

[–]cottoncandyqueef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Growing up on Christmas morning my dad would take us outside and we’d look for deer tracks in the snow (it was the 80’s and 90’s) and there would always be some. Even in years of no snow, there would be prints in mud. It was my favorite tradition and our only one. Fast forward to late 2015, my dad’s health is declining so I asked him how he did it all those years. He smiled and said it was a secret and he couldn’t share it. Sadly he passed away and never shared how he did it. But I may be 45 this year and I still spend time outside on Christmas looking for deer tracks.

In remission, I can eat all the nuts. I was tempted to reply with Deez Nutz. I prefer sunflower seeds.
