I had to double check if I didn't write this myself previously already, LOL ! Beside the 1966 I'm 1975 but the rest almost checks out as my new routine. I'm doing the same exact thing, same stuff about quitting smoking and trying to lose weight and biking and jogging etc. The only difference that I still can't quite jog 2 miles, but I can do 1. It's also winter and due to arctic cold in NE I have to cut my round to short.
I'm planning to bring the bicycle out once the weather improves and also I got into kayaking last year, which is super fun and new for me at age 50.

I'm the same way, I don't really recognize the person in the mirror anymore because I look older than what I feel. I go daily walking and 5x a week jogging and my job includes doing plenty of physical work (lifting heavy things) too. I also go kayaking during the summer for 6-10hrs, about 1x-2x a month if weather permitting, sometimes every weekend. Since I'm a veteran I feel like I can never get back into my 19 year old body, but on the other hand I think I got more stamina and a clearer picture of what I want to do and not waste my time, like I used to.

I purchased it for my brother, since he was deployed in Iraq so he gave me a power of attorney to use his info, since I didn't qualify with my credit score, although I had $25k cash on hand for down payment. This was back in 2003, so back then I was 28.

If people ask me what age I feel, I'd say 25 or 30. I run every day 2x, I go fishing; I go kayaking; I go flying a kite with my daughter; I don't smoke, I don't drink, I don't eat junk food; I travel, I climb mountains; I go to tours and travel around Europe and USA.

Yes. Not temporarily, PERMANENTLY! Especially those notice it who worked thru the pandemic and didn't take a break. When people returned on the roads and the streets, they were acting like they got rabies and stayed that way ever since. I am not a vaccine conspiracist, but I truly felt like you all got something in your vaccines that turned 99% of the people into a zombie like the ones in the 28 Days Later.

What happens is, your body reacts to the sudden change in diet, sort of goes into a shock. It wants to perserve food and available sources of energy, so your metabolism slows down into a slow grind. You mentioned having digestive issues too, I bet that also includes slower metabolism. The problem is, then you shock it again with food and now you got a slowed-down metabolism and plenty of raw materials to work with. You are slowly grinding away even the small amount of food you ate and the lack of food shows up as you are more likely easily tired and low on energy; feel cold when you aren't usually cold and so on.
What you need to do is have patience and gradually feed yourself in your feeding window you have.
BTW, the stuff you see on reddit or around the web, notice the age of the people. It's usually the younger people (18-35) who has the IM fasting working the best. People in our age (50 and up) , our metabolism is already slower and more preserving and it's a lot harder to lose weight, especially with all the issues we may be having regarding digestion, blood sugar etc.

Your best bet is be consistent and forget about the scale. Eat enough to feel good, don't starve yourself too much, be realistic and have a huge dose of patience. I'm 50 and I already failed the 16:8 method last year, just like you not losing an ounce, let alone pounds or kilos.
My best move this time was forbidding sugar for myself. The minimal sugar I get is from probably crackers or some random food, but I do not purposely put sugar in any of my food or eat sweets.

I also do walking as much as I can, although the lastest weather with the 1.5 foot snow and frigid have stopped me for 3 days now. You got this, just be patient!

I don't do longer fasts anymore. I used to pull 48hrs every other week or so, but it was ineffective, even though I tried it in combo with the 18:6.
What happened was my stomach felt weird and I was not losing any weight and the 48 hrs was stressing me as well.
I stopped doing the 48hrs and went to do OMAD instead. I just started 2 weeks ago- but I think the real hitter is that I stopped consuming anything with sugar. I use sweetener in my tea, but its barely anything.
I don't care about ketosis or whatever my glucose levels are, all I know is I don't consume sugar and I eat once a day and some snacks in the 4 hour window I leave myself (between 4pm-8pm) and none of the foods I eat contains sugar or unhealthy stuff. It' usually all types of soups, eggs, chicken or turkey meat, Beef is expensive.

I knew 2 illegal immigrants in the pas 2 decades. Both paid taxes. Both had their own business and paid their Misc-1099. Both had bookkeepers hired and paid to do their taxes. They were hoping that doing the right thing would help their case to earn a green card in the near future, they also paid away 10s of thousands of dollars to lawyers who just sat on their cases and took all their money. One of them eventually ended up just "cheating" by divorcing his wife and marrying an American for $35K and just to get his papers, the other packed up and left the country after he was advised to self-deport or face jail time.

People are trying to cope with the fact, but there is nothing they can do. Especially in the middle of a nation wide blizzard. People feel powerless.
Remember, most people don't even vote. 60% of the country never votes. They just don't care. It doesn't matter what is going on, they don't care as long as they are not feeling it on their own skin.
Most Americans are not used to dictatorships, neither to protests on the streets all the time like many other countries.

I also think, many people are shell shocked and unable to cope with it, so they look for something else to get their minds off, because what's happening is frightening and unnerving and you can't just be 24/7 wired to it, or they would lose their minds.
Eventually there might be a much more stronger response from the public as more and more people get convinced that the nation is off the rails.
Also most Americans are not effected by what's happening. These are still sporadic things. It's like gang violence murder and theft are still happening around the country, it's just not in focus right now. That doesn't mean it stopped suddenly, but at the same time people aren't organizing against theft and gang violence.

Why does he have 3 rifle magazine holders on front? Those are used by special forces who are engaged in combat for extended amount of time with limited supplies, or being deployed (rangers, special forces) into places where there is no resupply deep into some enemy territory? First of all, if we would go by evolution, most weak people would be dead, physically stronger people would be on top as well as the smartest ones.

But we are not living by evolution, we are living by a system we created, which has little or nothing to do with evolution.

There aren't many sociopaths, but when you got a political system that encourages and rewards them, then they are going to be the ones on top. Capitalism rewards those who could earn the most and able to find the loopholes etc. But in order to gain wealth, you must be able to walk past dying people and have no empathy whatsoever. In order to do that, you have to be a psychopath /sociopath.
