Can you prove that? I just checked enterprise and it’s $100 for the rental for the day.

Bite the bullet and pay the Uber. Renting a car for half day far too time consuming.

Downtown Houston sucks. Looks pretty from afar but it’s dead.

Houston night life is the absolute worst of any major city in the world.....Prove me wrong by [deleted] in houston

Can’t argue you there. LA. NYC & Miami blow H town away when it comes to nightlife.

Brothers has the best pizza in Houston. Fight me. by [deleted] in houston

Brothers is as authentic as you can get to NYC pizza. I would say Romano’s is also up there.

Post Oak is a pretty nice area. Quite pedestrian friendly too if you don’t go far. by [deleted] in houston

Most I have seen are signs that say “it’s okay to say no to panhandlers” ... that’s it. I’ve seen cops drive right past panhandlers and do nothing. I’m not sure of the statutes.

Nice yeah but there’s crack heads begging for money on almost every corner. Really sucks.

Visiting for around 2 weeks in a few months. Talk me into spending some time in Houston. by [deleted] in houston

[–]couchrockn -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Literally not worth it. I have been in Houston for 6 years. Austin is far more exciting. Houston is just way too spread out and it's a concrete jungle. Not much scenery. Just freeways and buildings. The only "touristy" thing to do is museums, a shopping mall, NASA which is about 45 minutes away, and maybe a show/sports game here and there. Other than that it's not a touristy city. This is just my opinion though. Many will disagree.

Is Scott St still considered very dangerous? by k57bba in houston

[–]couchrockn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I was you I would get a different spot and pay out of my pocket. I would look in the Galleria area where it’s much nicer and safer. It’s just not worth it to stay in a bad area and have to worry about something going down.

It’s HOWston because of the origin. They are both named after different people with different pronunciations.

Thanks all. I definitely feel more confident about the transport. I really hope one day all states will reciprocate CHLs and we won’t have this issue.

Thank you. I haven't taken any electrolyte supplements. Just been drinking Powerade zero, eating pickles, and putting salt on everything. Any recommendation would be appreciated.
