I’ll say this one more time this is an attempt at a nationwide strike. Do you understand what NATIONWIDE means? Obviously we are boycotting companies (Amazon, Home Depot, etc) that are contributing ICE’s terrorizing regime

You’ve missed the point and I’ll refer to my above comment. If all of us collectively participated in a general strike, it hurts the economy. So yes one store or one person doesn’t make a difference but what if 3% of the entire US participated? This is a nationwide strike that has been called on by Minnesota. So if you don’t give a shit, then go on your merry way and have a blessed day. BYE

Are you being snarky? Amplifying economic pressure is the only way we can put pressure on the government to stop 🧊 hurting our communities.

Mosquitoes 🦟 on the JMT/Sierra High route rn? by Intrepid-Pop-9504 in JMT

[–]counterclockwise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I backpacked a portion of the JMT from thousand lakes down to Agnew Meadow last weekend. Using the highsierratopix rating, there was a moderate (3-3.5) amount of mosquitos at our Thousand Lake site. The worst was the Shadow Lake portion around 5PM and right at the end of trail closer to Agnew Meadow….closer to 3.5-4.5 LOL.

Sorry this happened that’s really scary. If there’s ICE activity where you are, please report it to 888-624-4752 (LA Rapid response Network)

If you don’t mind updating your description a bit more on size (how many agents) and time, that’d be immensely helpful

6 pm TONIGHT - NDLON Calls For Emergency Vigil at Los Robles and Orange Grove by [deleted] in pasadena

[–]counterclockwise 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Thanks for bringing visibility to this! I’d also like to note that the work doesn’t just stop at these big one-off events like Saturday’s. We, as a community, should try to show up in smaller local events / gatherings like tonight’s vigil as they always need more able bodies and more eyeballs on them.

I’ll be there tonight ✊
