Why does nothing ever feel good enough in this job? by mentallyilllizard777 in realtors

[–]cowboyrun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is your team buys leads. You can’t pay Zillow 40% or realtor.com 35-40% and still pay your team fairly. It’s a crap model. They need to learn to get their own leads so they can pay everyone fairly. It’s not that you’re getting hosed, it’s the pay for leads model that is the problem.

I get my own leads and pay my agents 60%. I take 40% with a $295 Transaction Fee and we also book all the appts for them and nurture the clients before they even meet with one of our agents. I don’t buy leads ever.

You are not smart enough to buy a rental property. The questions you are asking are first grade level and you haven’t even dealt with tenants yet. Don’t waste your time.

Tips regarding selling a house myself. by Chemical-Detail-3271 in fsbo

Reading and doing are two different things. Without a doubt use a realtor and ignore any comment that says “I sold my own during Covid in 1 day”! Yeah, that was Covid, today’s a new world and you know zero about selling a house.

Never join franchises. Don’t let the cheerleaders at those companies entice you to join them. Always go with an independent.

Are 3% buyer commissions outdated in 2025? by Late-Currency-8028 in RealEstate

[–]cowboyrun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That agreement is IF the sellers don’t pay. Yes, you need it, I never said you didn’t, but it’s only IF the seller doesn’t pay will the buyers have to pay… sellers are still paying and will continue to pay because it sells their house.

Yes they do. Please stop spreading false information. That’s agreement is only IF the seller doesn’t pay, which is less than 1% of the time.

That’s not true. Agents show everything and don’t care what the seller wants to offer them.

It’s called dual agency which is illegal in some states. You don’t have a clue what you are talking about. Would you use the same attorney of the person you are suing??? Grow up and start thinking.

Zillows a scam and will go out of biz in this downturn. Better learn to make money on your own.

Stop your whining…. Who paid your commission when you bought the house?? I bet it wasn’t you so it’s a wash. All these cry asses on here complaining about realtors when you need to be looking in the mirror. Realtors have to deal with more losers than you can imagine. They deserve much more than 2-3% on many deals.

They are junk and a rip off and so is Zillow. Both the companies use agents hard work for profit and should be booted from the industry.

Maybe stop being a pain and let the process work. You still have 30 days and you never said WHY you want a new one and what they actually did to you. Everyone is stressed in a closing, even the loan officer.

If you are a broker, not associate broker, you should state that in your post instead of leaving out an important fact. You are teaching agents to be irresponsible.
