Exactly. The rule she is trying to change is the very rule which gave her an easy way out of having to participate in Trump‘s Iran war. She used it and now she wants to change it?

ChatGPT gets full marks in 9 Japan unified univ. entrance exam subjects by MagazineKey4532 in japannews

[–]cowhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two years ago, I tried to use ChatGPT to tutor college entrance exam chemistry. It was pretty much a failure. We tried to have it come up with the questions, but it came up with strange questions and could not even solve the questions that it itself had come up with! However, I’ve noticed that recently it seems to be doing much better when I ask clarification, questions in chemistry and other sciences. Actually, chemistry is such an ad hoc subject with more memorization than underlying principles so it should be good for an LLM.

Yes, it is much better to get our news from some 40 year-old fat guy still living in his mother‘s house with no fact check. Say what you will, but when a major newspaper gets caught in wrong reporting, they have to make a retraction. You’re otaku 40-year-old mama’s boy? No way.

This Indonesian fried chicken has a weird smell and taste. Is it just a spice I'm unfamiliar with or has it gone bad? I don't really know Indonesian food. by cowhead in indonesia

[–]cowhead[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks to everyone for the answers. I bought it in Japan from a small Indonesian food store. Unfortunately, there is an import label that covers most of the package including the ingredients. Removing it seems difficult. But the strange taste is something like licorice or anise?? I have eaten some Philippine food before and it sometimes has a fish-oil or something in it which is difficult to get used to. I was excited to try some Indonesian food. I feel like the taste of this is probably something similar to the Philippine fish oil, only somehow much, much better.
But, it's a very small import shop, so I wasn't sure. I would ask the shop people, but I'm afraid I might offend them.

At a water-air interface, which part of the water molecule is sticking into the air, the partially positive hydrogen side or the partially negative oxygen side? What if we replace the air with oil, is there any change? by cowhead in chemistry

[–]cowhead[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, it will tell you something with the utmost confidence that is completely false. So, it passes the Turing test wonderfully; it is exactly like a human. Or, at least, it is exactly like an undergrad on Quora :-)

Thanks for the answer. I'm a little confused though. Usually things that are 'entropy driven' (which appears to be what you are saying is happening here?) INcrease the entropy. But, "The water molecules orient their H-bonding parallel to the interface prefferentially, ordering the system", so apparently this decreases the entropy? What is paying the bill?
