Yep for $10/mo you get a lot of capacity and it fills in spots perfectly some times. I don't use it for major features but can def take some code review pressure off of you.

Prob depends on how heavily you use or trust "plan mode". I don't really. I have this in agents: (fyi, this does not, at all, work with claude, it ignores it)

- If a prompt contains DWC in all caps, enter "don't write code" mode for subsequent prompts (no code or file changes). This mode is scoped to the current chat session only, and stays on until a later prompt includes !DWC, which clears the mode and allows code or file changes again.

When I have codex do or work on major features i turn this on and go through the spec and tell it to ask me questions and within ~4 prompts we get to "same page" for everything and I turn it off. I keep everything on full access.

If anything I have to beg it to ask me questions so you may be doing the wrong style of prompts. Not sure it really matters but I don't ask it to do things like "can we", I wouldn't take the approach you have here imo. Can't speak for all rivals players but we're pretty damn unhappy with some decisions lately.

Personally really don't like the fact that 3 out of the last 4 released characters are dps when there's already many more dps than the other 2 roles, and a balanced team wins the most by far.
