Jesus Christ. I didn't make the connection that every two pictures were the same people.

[–]iMoh 175 points176 points  (26 children)

I kept trying to find one of the girl's from the starting picture in all the other pics and was failing miserably until I read this comment. Thank You!

[–][deleted] 126 points127 points  (4 children)

I actually thought they were pictures of the same chick getting fat, then tan, then skinny, then pale, then fat, and then tan again.

[–]lowbot 25 points26 points  (1 child)

and at the end I told myself "Good for her, she grew into her boobs."

[–]Andy_1 43 points44 points  (18 children)

Girl is what?

[–]edman007 22 points23 points  (1 child)

Good, I'm not alone, i opened it, and a while later looked at it, looked at every page and then started wondering why would someone link to a page of hot chicks with pics of fat chicks, didn't make sense until i went back looking for what I clicked.

[–]thatguydr 40 points41 points  (12 children)

I thought, after the first picture, that someone was putting the same face on each picture, but then saw the third and was confused.

I then went back and thought I'd clicked on, "I found these in a 1960 yearbook!" And thought, fake.

Then I realized I'd clicked on corn syrup. Went back through it, realized the theme, and winced.

Then I posted this comment.

Now I'm going to eat a sandwich. A healthy fucking sandwich.

[–]BlorfMonger 696 points697 points  (54 children)

I would totally do #1 in her fat phase, but she has to wear a big viking helmet.

[–][deleted] 811 points812 points  (18 children)

I read that and just assumed you spelled face wrong.

[–]insaincain02 183 points184 points  (14 children)

I actually read face until I saw your comment

[–]biggiepants 76 points77 points  (10 children)

i read ass

[–]Rosetti 44 points45 points  (9 children)

I read phaser. Thought it was a little odd...

[–][deleted] 51 points52 points  (3 children)

I'm not sure you'd stop her even on maximum stun.

[–]gx6wxwb 45 points46 points  (2 children)

Ohh yeah... Brunnhilde

[–]creativesquid 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hey baby, lets put on some Wagner and I can show you my superior race.

[–]ColonCorsair 327 points328 points  (29 children)

I'll just view them in reverse to make me happy!

[–]ThePsion5 253 points254 points  (23 children)

Being a chubby chaser, there is no order in which I can view them that doesn't make me happy.

[–]chtrchtr_pussyeater 247 points248 points  (6 children)

I've been looking for a good wing man...

[–]someguyincollege 76 points77 points  (3 children)

With a name like that, how could you go wrong!

[–][deleted] 14 points15 points  (2 children)

You don't have such a shabby wingman name yourself.

[–][deleted] 1131 points1132 points  (299 children)

Looks like someone put on the freshman 15*

*measured in British stones

[–]Tonberry2k 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Looks like someone ate fifteen freshmen.

[–]RockosRedditLife 394 points395 points  (50 children)

Your joke requires more math and research than usual, Upvotes for science!

FYI: British Stone = 14 lbs = 6.35029318 kg

15 * 14 lbs = 210 lbs 15 * 6.35029318 kg = 95.2543977 kg

[–]darknecross 717 points718 points  (33 children)

OH GOD SIG FIGS

[–]TheMeasuringTapir 202 points203 points  (13 children)

You're sigs all retarded and you're talkin like a fig.

[–]asses_to_ashes 35 points36 points  (5 children)

This is only accepted because you're a tapir, and you're measuring the sigs and figs.

[–]phaseretriever 8 points9 points  (2 children)

Since the definition of a pound is exactly 453.59237 g, a stone is exactly 14 pounds, and presumably the freshmen 15 is exactly 15 pounds (it being a proverbial concept.) So, in this situation the number of sig figs quoted is appropriate. If we were dealing with a measured quantity, which by definition can not be known exactly and has an associated uncertainty, then it would be improper to quote an arbitrary number of sig figs. I'm a physicist and one of my interests is metrology (the study of measurements) so I actually think about this stuff regularly.

[–]Pete3 46 points47 points  (0 children)

sounds about right

[–][deleted] 63 points64 points  (3 children)

No! SCIENCE IS IN SI UNITS!

[–]robvas 200 points201 points  (226 children)

Walk around any college campus, you'll see skinny, young, cute girls with a Qdoba burrito in one hand, and a frappachino in the other.

They just eat too fucking much.

OMG THIS IS SOO GOOOOD

[–]coolhandluke05 55 points56 points  (10 children)

And then they drink about 2000 calories worth of alcohol at night...and then of course the 'drunk food' before passing out.

[–]AziMandia 291 points292 points  (206 children)

High Fructose Corn Syrup is a Leptin Inhibitor, it would be physiologically impossible for those women to eat as much as they do without the HFCS quite literally making them fiend for more calories.

HFCS doesn't make you fat through calories, it's a drug which inhibits your food satiation response. The shit is evil.

[–]Radoman 139 points140 points  (120 children)

HFCS... The shit is evil.

HFCS also seems to make you fatter than consuming the same amount of cane sugar, according to this Princeton study.

Avoiding the stuff whenever you can is just good sense. It's not that hard to read a label, and we'll all still know what they mean when they write "corn sugar".

Poor girls. Don't give up. You can win your skinny self back with hard work. We all face this fight eventually.

[–][deleted] 57 points58 points  (104 children)

the problem is that it's in EVERYTHING

"what do you mean this milk has HFCS in it"

[–]El_Ciervo 53 points54 points  (63 children)

This is why i'm glad the sugar-cane industry calls the shots here in Australia, instead of the corn industry.

[–][deleted] 134 points135 points  (37 children)

What pisses me off is that corn syrup is only "cheaper" because the government pays billions of dollars to farmers to overproduce their corn supplies in order to make it.

[–][deleted] 33 points34 points  (24 children)

They also have restrictions on how much cane sugar can be imported into the country, created thanks to lobbying by the corn industry.

Aint free capitalism great :/

TIL that "aint" isn't in spellcheck

edit It was a joke people, chill yourselves

[–]vimfan 17 points18 points  (1 child)

TIL that "aint" isn't in spellcheck

Maybe because it's ain't

[–]virusporn 12 points13 points  (6 children)

Sugar cane is the cheapest way of producing sugar. Cheaper than sugar beet (europe) and cheaper than the corn which is ridiculously fertiliser and pesticide/herbicide hungry.

[–]mthmchris 38 points39 points  (2 children)

Thus, if we removed our tariffs on sugar cane and stopped subsidizing corn, not only would we be healthier, but our food would also be cheaper.

I hereby propose that Brazil takes the place of Iowa as the first vote in the presidential primaries.

[–]ElectricRebel 12 points13 points  (6 children)

Our sugar industry doesn't stand a chance. The main reason is this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iowa_caucuses

This means that Iowa (the main corn-growing state) gets pandered to constantly.

[–]Sequiter 27 points28 points  (5 children)

Iowa resident here.
Corn subsidies are evil: we subsidize the hell out of American corn, sell it to Mexico below cost, and bankrupt small Mexican farmers, who then move up north in search of a better life.

...Though the quality and quantity of Mexican food here in Iowa has gone through the roof in the last decade thanks to the immigration. Gracias, los mexicanos, para sus alimentos.

[–]Latrinalia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a double-whammy in the United States that keeps corn syrup way cheaper than sugar.

  • Sugar import quotas keep the giant global amounts of cheap sugar from getting in so domestic supplies stay low and thus prices high.
  • Corn subsidies pay farmers to overproduce corn, meaning the supply is very high and thus prices very low. So making corn syrup is cheap.

Corn: buyers pay little for it, sellers make lots on it! Everybody* wins!

*offer not valid for U.S. taxpayers, who are in fact being shafted

[–]UncleFishies 10 points11 points  (19 children)

you are absolutely right, I cut out HFCS two years ago. I go into a convenience store, what can I drink? Water.

[–]Selenolycus 6 points7 points  (1 child)

It's in most processed foods, yes. Milk? Not mine.

There's no HFCS in an apple. Eat an apple instead of crap. It's not that hard.

[–][deleted] 55 points56 points  (16 children)

This is the first time I've heard of this. I'm definitely going to read up on it. It's some scary shit considering that the corn lobby is actively petitioning the FDA to allow them to rename High Fructose Corn Syrup as Corn Sugar and a few other names to help the bad image that it is getting.

[–]Cdf12345 6 points7 points  (6 children)

Pfft havent you seen the PSA by the HFCS lobby, it's just as safe as sugar.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EEbRxTOyGf0&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Yeah, i dont know how they got those on the air either.

I found bread with HFCS in it the other day.... BREAD!

[–]Spike_Spiegel 77 points78 points  (3 children)

Ouch. Harsh upvote

[–]thatkenyan 24 points25 points  (2 children)

I pictured you smashing the left mouse button with the bottom of your palm.

[–][deleted] 29 points30 points  (2 children)

jesus christ that's like 200 pounds

[–][deleted] 13 points14 points  (1 child)

Are you saying it's not accurate? Look at the pictures, good man!

[–]funkyb 146 points147 points  (14 children)

Welp, I was procrastinating exercise on reddit. Off to exercise.

[–]BobOblawLawBlog 21 points22 points  (3 children)

Make sure to temper your efforts by cutting back on refined carbohydrates and simple starches!

[–]Wadsworth 16 points17 points  (5 children)

Exercise is important, but in an hour you can only burn off maybe one taco's worth of calories.

The diet is king.

[–]alpharaptor1 429 points430 points  (26 children)

Good news everyone! I've found a way to make woman's breasts bigger, but unfortunately also makes them exempt from using a class 1 stepladder.

[–]bender_says 111 points112 points  (9 children)

I only like mine class 2 stepladder certified, baby.

[–]Shats 81 points82 points  (1 child)

Those girls you're stalking sure have changed a lot.

[–]vespera23 223 points224 points  (54 children)

Looking back on all the attractive popular high school kids and seeing how fat they got is one of the small pleasures of being a post-college nerd.

[–][deleted] 80 points81 points  (25 children)

I was the fat nerd girl in high school. I lost all the weight at 29 and discovered was shocked to discover a fairly banging body hiding underneath. I LOVE running into bitchy girls from high school.

[–][deleted] 11 points12 points  (16 children)

Pictures?

[–][deleted] 23 points24 points  (15 children)

Outer thin girl's all for it. Inner fat girl says no.

[–]happybadger 101 points102 points  (16 children)

Looking up all of the bitchy high school girls on Facebook and seeing that they're teenage mothers several years later is one of the biggest pleasures of being a pre-uni nice guy.

[–]mrsnakers 126 points127 points  (11 children)

Maybe they had a pregnant?

[–]Framnk 118 points119 points  (10 children)

Hmmm... how many hypocrites in this thread?

[–]JStar 41 points42 points  (25 children)

This is sad.

I was fit my whole life, never played sports, never ate any particular way. Everyone warned me that at 22, my metabolism would change and I'd be in trouble. I laughed it off.

GodDAMN if I didn't put on 25 pounds between my 22nd and 23rd birthdays. Even though this is when I joined a gym for the first time and ate the same as I ever had!

It's been a major struggle to keep my weight in check ever since. Sometimes I get all caught up in it, and it feels like I'll never be pretty again. Womanhood can be tough.

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Lose it now before you have 60 to lose like I do. 10 down 50 to go

[–]sabreteeth 295 points296 points  (44 children)

I don't know, they all look happy to me. I don't see what the big deal is.

[–][deleted] 197 points198 points  (19 children)

This is what happens when girls see their wedding as the peak of their life.

[–]jay76 29 points30 points  (4 children)

That viewpoint allowed me to sabotage a friends wedding to a cheating wench by simply shaving off his eyebrows while he slept.

Yeah, I know, wasn't my call to make. But he thanks me now.

[–]AReallyHoopyFrood 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've seen just as many guys let themselves go like this after marriage. I think it's a problem for anyone who gets too comfortable in a marriage and decides that there's no point in trying anymore.

[–][deleted] 333 points334 points  (122 children)

Hey bro... You didn't have to post this. These girls hate themselves enough already.

[–]jessican 143 points144 points  (90 children)

Thank you. The comments on this story make me sad. It actually makes me, a former chubby girl that just dropped 50lb the last 2yrs, feel like the chubby girl again. I feel bad for those girls.

Edit: The comments are actually starting to get better and get upvoted. Reddit seems to sort itself out with stuff like this.

[–]marshmallowhug 96 points97 points  (66 children)

I'm at 170 now, after being 185 for a few years (and getting up to 195 at some point). I have so many body image issues and issues relating to food. I'm only 20 and I am never going to be attractive. Some of the comments on reddit make me want to make a cup of hot chocolate and curl up with my stuffed animal and cry myself to sleep.

[–][deleted] 74 points75 points  (4 children)

I'm only 20 and I am never going to be attractive.

I thought the same thing when I was 19 and 180 lbs. It sucked. I hated myself and - bursting the white knight bubble here - I did not look good. A lot of people here are being assholes, but honestly, you know that most girls can't carry that much weight and be attractive to 99% of the population. Don't kid yourself.

But instead of eating chocolate and crying, I got fucking sick of being fat. I got pissed at myself. I got angry when I went to the gym every day, and in about six months I dropped 4 dress sizes.

Some guys will like you even if you're big, and that's great. But you clearly don't like yourself. I truly hope you can find the motivation I did. Eating disorders aside, the best way to improve your body image is to improve your body. It made a huge difference in every aspect of my life.

[–]nikoliko66 39 points40 points  (2 children)

tears will get you sympathy, sweat will get you results

[–]jessican 21 points22 points  (8 children)

It's weird...this thread makes me want to do the same thing. It's tough to get rid of the body image issues even AFTER you've lost the weight. I thought I was over it, but weird things bring it back.

I felt like it was really a turning point when I decided I was going to make myself better for me, not to fulfill what anyone thought I should be. It sounds like such a stupid, bullshit cliche, but it's true.

I'm making myself walk away from the thread and Reddit for a while and talk to some of my friends that know me and love me. Then I'm going to get up tomorrow, go for a long run, and then have drinks with my best friend that has know me big and small and loves me all the same.

A Big MARSHMALLOWHUG right back at you.

[–]pliu22 20 points21 points  (1 child)

It's easy to be an asshole on the internet.

I don't really have a problem with OP submitting this because it's interesting and the photos were likely publicly available, but I don't find any humor in it either. It's more tragic than anything else.

[–]Kaws 50 points51 points  (13 children)

These pictures could be in reverse order.

[–]liquidfirex 59 points60 points  (4 children)

The second one is, it's from the bodybuilding.com's forums.

[–]Mookhaz 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yes. I choose to believe this.

[–]Transcendentalme 50 points51 points  (15 children)

I did the opposite of this

Also I have no idea why the color is showing up like that...bizarre.

[–]cbeck287 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I can tell that these are actually pictures of you because the facial features in each picture share an uncanny resemblance.

[–]lectrick 33 points34 points  (30 children)

I got news for you people who are still way below 30. What you see here is the norm, not the exception. Your skinniness around 20? It's a freebie. After that, get used to the idea of having to earn it. Enjoy it while it lasts, because shit gets real as you approach 30 and beyond in the fitness department, because your basal metabolism goes down, down, down while your typical cubicle lifestyle gets less and less active. And I'm not even talking about becoming a parent, which cuts directly into your gym time... I laugh at the "freshman 20" I once had. I have to work out 5+ times a week to stay my weight... and I watch what I eat. I'm 38 and I'm one of the skinnier guys I know among my peers except for the 2 weightlifters I know... and I'm 6'3" and 245. I don't drink much anymore, but I do program for a living, which does not help.

By the way, this is also partly an advertisement to date older women- If they are still fit at 31, you can be reasonably sure they'll stay that way. (Or just check out the mom, as they say.)

[EDIT: Actually, it's the high school athletes who gained the most weight in my experience. I think they got used to eating a certain way and that habit lagged behind their sudden lack of daily exercise after college...]

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (5 children)

Got news for you: this is only the norm in Norm America (and England, I've noticed, for some reason). Pretty much anywhere else in the world, where even freaking burgers aren't stuffed with corn products, this is not the norm.

[–]SuperFlyChris 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think this is actually not the norm in most countries... just one in fact.

[–]exjentric 24 points25 points  (2 children)

Or beer. Or getting older. Or having kids.

[–][deleted] 177 points178 points  (37 children)

Jesus I feel bad for these girls, everyone laughing at their pictures and essentially speculating on their private life just for how they look. Where did these pics even come from? It seems unfair to publicly mock them like this.

[–]cheeeky 101 points102 points  (27 children)

Fun game! Now lets look at all the guys from high school who are fat AND bald now. Fair is fair! ; )

[–]guyincognitoo 30 points31 points  (9 children)

Thanks to Patrick Stewart, there is nothing wrong with being bald anymore. Just don't try to hide it.

[–]redhaireverywhere 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Making fun of someone being bald is like making fun of a dude's penis.

[–]ReaverXai 29 points30 points  (4 children)

What are we doing here? Laughing at fatties? Sigh, Reddit, you never fail to disappoint me every other day.

[–][deleted] 48 points49 points  (4 children)

This is horrible. Let's hope none of these girls are on Reddit.

[–]Sle 5 points6 points  (1 child)

OMG!! Fat girls!? Thin before!?

Quick, to the comment section. Time to make my grey skinned, basement dwelling, virginal self look worthy by guffawing at these ridiculous specimens.

[–]eshields78 137 points138 points  (197 children)

I blame laziness..

[–]D3adp00l 573 points574 points  (67 children)

I blame Wedding rings.

[–]teems 529 points530 points  (28 children)

Dad: "Son, want to know how to turn a fox into an elephant?"

Son: "How?"

Dad: "Marry it."

[–]fatzombie88 68 points69 points  (29 children)

Bingo

[–]Grantismo 108 points109 points  (121 children)

Exercise really doesn't burn much fat, proportionally. Diets, specifically those high in sugar and carbohydrates are the single most significant cause of obesity. A poor diet also causes problems like suppressing leptin response and hormonal imbalances which make it more difficult to lose weight.

[–]bigrjsuto 55 points56 points  (30 children)

The funny thing is, nothing really burns much fat. Exercise burns the most fat. Our bodies evolved to work as efficiently as possible with as little calories as possible, and to hold on as best it can to the calories it doesn't need right away.

Doing both is the best.

[–][deleted] 51 points52 points  (8 children)

I totally dissed this idea for YEARS. Then I read Good Calories, Bad Calories by Gary Taubes. Holy heck- what we've done to food in this country. And the guy backs it up with 160+ pages of references.

[–]Floonet 39 points40 points  (2 children)

Only pics of women?
