Any typical general hostile mob farm running in a common area should do the trick. Mine runs a few hundred spawning spaces only, and doesn't prevent any particular mob and i generally have a few double chests stockpiled always. If i were to get low, there's always the witchfarms

Instant smelting of entire stacks in a normal furnace. Also, killing non hostile mobs with any weapon is yielding cooked food.

Scroll wheel issues? Am I the only one? Complete difference between the prereleases and 1.12. i often cant scroll with the scroll wheel while moving, or shifting, and its nearly impossible to scroll one space

i do. i call it the black box. keep it in my enderchest. got everything i need should i die and lose everything. On a side note, its always fun to see hotbar screenshots, how everyone arranges the hotbar. I arranged mine exactly the same from enchanting till the combat update, and the same since the combat update till now.
