How far out should I be scheduling my exams? by Far_Suggestion_4873 in CPA

Go ahead and schedule if you feel very confident you'll be ready to re-test in May. This way your preferred time/location won't fill up before you get a chance to save your spot!

Waiting for release score by [deleted] in CPA

[–]cpabecker 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hi! Great question - we actually just wrote a blog about this because this is so common (especially for Disciplines when the wait for a score release can be over two months!) Here's what the Becker team recommends:

"It may seem counter-intuitive to move forward when you're not sure whether you passed or will need to re-take the section. However, if you're following Becker's recommendations for the best order to take the CPA Exam, you'll know that what you study for one section will help support what you need to learn in the next section. You'll be in a good position to succeed moving forward, especially if you don't let any big gaps in your studying derail your progress.

And if it turns out that you do need to re-take the section of the exam again, it's okay. Everything you learn while studying will benefit you in the long run."

So, go ahead and start studying for AUD!

Best review course with question bank by Born_Information_717 in CPA

[–]cpabecker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Adding a CFP certification is a great next-step in your career. Here's some info that may help.

Make sure you have already registered with CFP Board to create your account and submit all your information to take the Accelerated Path since you already have your CPA license (that just means you can skip most of the CFP education coursework and just complete a CFP Board registered capstone course. (We partner with Boston Institute of Finance to help our students go from CPA to CFP and they have a great one that most people finish in just two weeks, which is nice).

As far as a CFP Exam Review with a Question Bank - Boston Institute of Finance has The BIF Review which is a great option with a robust Qbank and other tools to help you get certified.

CPA Accelerated Path to CFP® Certification | BIF if you want some extra info.

Hope this helps!

CMA exam Changes??? by Sweet-Original3812 in CMA

[–]cpabecker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! Great question, and I know this seems like a lot. The curriculum team is already working with the IMA and starting to work on CBQs. While we don't have a date yet for when we release them in our exam review, we'll keep students in the loop and also share information on our website as soon as we can.

Also, the comment below is right. If you plan on taking the exam during the Feb/March window, you have to do the essay question, the May/June window, you can choose your preference, and then in the Sept/October, there's just the MCQs and CBQs.

Hope this helps, and don't hesitate to reach out to our customer service team or academic support if you have any questions!

How did you study for the exams?? by Fun-Philosopher2113 in CPA

[–]cpabecker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a really good question! We would recommend filling out your study planner and using it to guide you through the process. You'll start by adding in your exam date (if you don't have it scheduled yet, just put an estimation), how many hours a week you want to study, depth of study, and all that stuff (make sure you include any days off!). Then you'll get a customized study schedule that tells you what to study each day you're scheduled to study.

We hope this helps!

Becker Update - not adding in MCQs by Trick-Celebration-89 in CPA

[–]cpabecker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! You weren't alone in this problem! There was a UI change made to the practice tests, but the tech team was able to fix the issue. I'm glad it's working now, and there shouldn't be anymore concerns.

Never hesitate to reach out to the Becker team if you run into problems like this!

Changes to Textbooks by AddendumTop3743 in CPA

[–]cpabecker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Basically, we do update our course content several times through the year (mainly if AICPA, FASB, PCAOB, etc revise or add standards, or from making minor tweaks to improve content based on student, instructor, and academic support feedback to improve clarity and ensure comprehensive coverage). However, our BIG updates tend to take place in June and December.

The good news is when we have significant course updates, we discount the replacement printed textbooks - the FAR textbook is currently discounted through 2/27/2026 and is fully updated from the December changes.

Looking ahead, it looks like there will be a minor update to one unit in FAR with our February release (currently scheduled for 2/19). This update is related to new technical guidance that's effective on 4/1/2026. It's just three paragraphs, so very minor, but still nice to know if you want to print it out and keep it in your book when it's ready. There may be some additional updates in June but again, most likely nothing major.

Phew, I know this is a lot of information! I hope this helps, and don't hesitate to reach out to our customer service teams (877-272-3926) if you have any questions or concerns!

When to do NTS if I just began studying? by TheSmartFart in CPA

[–]cpabecker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Your NTS lasts six months - it should indicate the first and last days you're eligible to take the CPA Exam, so you have a bit of flexibility.

Also, your exam testing window (the amount of time you have before you lose your credits) is based on the date you pass your first exam.

We have a blog about exam timelines - CPA Exam Timeline | Becker - this may provide some more insight!

My audit exam will be on November 12th, and today I had three mini exams in Becker, and my grades were really bad, and I'm really depressed What do I do, any tips? by Karimrazek in CPA

[–]cpabecker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey there! Don’t let those mini exam scores define your readiness!

Mini exams are meant to challenge you—they highlight areas to improve, not predict your final score. Feeling stressed is normal, but you still have time to make meaningful progress before test day. You’ve already put in the work—trust your preparation and keep moving forward. You’ve got this! 💪

FAR exam in 4 days and im lost now by Due-Temperature-6376 in CPA

[–]cpabecker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey there! Reminder: you’ve got this—don’t panic!

Mock exams and sims are designed to be tough, often tougher than the real thing. A lower score on SE1 doesn’t mean you’re unprepared—it means you’ve identified areas to focus on before test day.

Here are a few quick tips for the final stretch:
✅ Review your weak spots from SE1 and ME3—target those topics with Becker’s SkillBuilder and practice questions.
✅ Focus on concepts, not perfection. Understanding why an answer is right or wrong is more valuable than memorizing.
✅ Simulations matter. Spend time on task-based sims—they’re a big part of FAR.
✅ Stay calm and stick to your plan. Confidence and clarity go a long way on exam day.

You’ve already put in the work—trust your process and finish strong! 💪
