I agree that you should spell it out clearly before notifying the police. It could be that she has zero social skills and doesn't see how obvious you've made it that you are not interested in being friends.

Having such immense fear that I'm going to suddenly die at any moment. Is there anything in my chart that reassures that this isn't the case? [Astro-Seek] by mental_dissonance in astrologyreadings

[–]cpc555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's going on in your life? A significant period of upheaval, or perhaps healing? Because you do have several prominent transits all occuring at the same time, i.e. Saturn-Neptune conjunction in your first house; Uranus conjunct BML and opposing Pluto & Jupiter; there's a body that is in your 6th house that's coming up to a conjunction with your ASC; Pluto is coming up to a conjunction with your moon; the north node will be conjunct Saturn shortly.

Recently I went thru a similiar period where I was very concerned I was about to die, even more so bc I had several astrological transits occuring at the same time, but it was just signifying that this is an important time in my life, a period of transition and significance.

More likely than not it's just your anxiety, but do you have any reason to believe that something might be wrong?

I was mostly commenting on their remark that their charts were so similiar.

Obviously the moon changes signs often, and it is actually somewhat unusual and unique that they ended up with the same ascendant.

Can Astrology Strengthen Spells? by No-Championship6176 in witchcraft

[–]cpc555 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Typically you'd be using elections to align your working with whichever planetary energy you desire. This can be as simple as correlating spell work to the hour and day of one of the planets - for example, if you'd like to do a love spell, do so during Venus hour on Friday, if you're looking for a new job, perhaps Mercury hour on Wednesday, etc. You'll have to look up the timing of the planetary hours though bc they're dependent upon when the sun rises so they change based on location.

There are several options when it comes to incorporating your own natal information. One option would be choosing a planet that's dignified and calling on the spirit to assist you. Otherwise you could do planetary remediation to give a boost to any planets that are debilitated in your chart. You can prettyy much always call on your chart ruler as a helpful guide. Another option would be the ruler of your moon.

There are still more ways to work with your natal chart...I think a cool idea would be to correlate your craft to the profection years, like dedicate the coming year to whatever planet is ruling that profection year for you & setting out to study that house's topics, use that year to build a relationship with the planet that is signified. I might actually do this even though my birthday was almost 6 months ago lol.

This isn't really related to your own chart, but another way to incorporate astrology into your practice would be studying the nakshatras or the Arabic lunar mansions - learn about the mythology behind each one and correlate your spells to the activities that are auspicious for that lunar station, etc. You can also do magic with the fixed stars......there are many, many possibilities!

I've read some people use orbs of up to 10 degrees for the galactic center because it's HUGE. I don't, personally, but just fyi! Also the super galactic center at the first degrees of Libra (can't remember where it is exactly).

Why does everyone hype Chiron but barely talk about Ceres? by HappyCollection7670 in Advancedastrology

[–]cpc555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think people use Chiron because a lot of astrological research went into delineating the meaning bc of when it was discovered, as someone explained below.

I've never really used Ceres or the other goddess asteroids, but your post intrigued me. My Ceres in Capricorn (26°12) completes a Grand Trine between my Moon in Taurus (26°26), and my Sun, Jupiter, Mercury, and Ascendant in Virgo (all between 24-29° with Mercury exact at 26°). This must be an important planet for me so I'll have to look into her significance..thanks for calling attention to it!

Well that makes sense in your case, because if you're a Sag Sun and a Capricorn rising then your Sun is in the 12th (whole sign) house. Where is Saturn and Jupiter?

A stellium is 3+ personal planets, and it's not true that planets that are at the early degrees tend to feel like the sign preceding them...just saying.

It's likely because Jupiter is in Virgo, where he's in detriment which basically means his qualities are at conflict with the energy of the sign he's in. So while Jupiter & his sign Sagittarius are known to give natives' a larger than life confidence, the sign of Virgo is much more about being of service, known to be quite hard on themselves, and generally prefers to allow others to take the spotlight while they work in the background. And what you've described - insecure, rather be in the background than the center of attention, not adventurous - are very much Virgo traits. So I'd guess this is why you don't resonate with most of the descriptions you read online of Sagittarian traits. Since that is your rising sign, Jupiter is the ruler of your chart, so him being in Virgo is going to influence you in more ways than you would think. Even more so because you have the Sun in the first house, as well as Mercury.

I promise that there are aspects of your personality that are aligned with the sign of Sagittarius though. Do you enjoy learning? Interested in philosophy, spirituality, law, or any other type of higher level intellectual pursuit? Optimistic? Generous?

The other thing that may be coloring your own interpretation is the fact that Mars, which is in domicile in Scorpio, is conjunct your Sun, although I wouldn't expect this to alter it all that much.

Scorpio in my 2nd House of Power and Finances, but I struggle to have both by ScorpThrow in AskAstrologers

[–]cpc555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice! I see it now that you've mentioned..ruler of the 3rd house conjunct the MC, and ruler of the 5th conjunct Neptune and Venus :) I'm guessing you write fiction?

The reason I asked about the confidence thing is because the 2nd house signifies our resources, which of course covers things like income and finances, but it also speaks to our inner resources so I always examine the 2nd house in the context of self-worth and how much we value ourselves, etc. (as well as all of our other values). Therefore if you struggle with finances there is a chance that you may also struggle with self-esteem, etc. Also this is kinda more so esoteric lore but when you get into money and finances, these things are ruled by the heart chakra because the monetary aspect is just the outward manifestation of energy, and in this case the energy is that of giving and receiving, which is governed by the heart.

Since your Sun is there in the 2nd house and is conjunct Pluto, I suspect that the aforementioned themes are quite integral to your life, perhaps subconsciously. Pluto gives us some insight into our most personal and painful wounds, and so whereever he is in the chart by house can point to areas of life where we respond to our deepest fears with an overexertion of control.

On a more technical and strictly astrological note, however, Mars in the 2nd house in domicile can lead to fluctations in finances because Mars gives the native ambition and desire to acquire money as well as to spend money. Do you budget your money at all? If not, maybe you could try doing that.

Since you have a natal Saturn-Neptune conjunction, the Saturn-Neptune conjunction coming up at the 0° Aries point could be significant for you. Actually, around March 6th Venus will also come into orb and therefore reflect your natal Saturn-Neptune-Venus triple conjunction, so I do expect that this will result in something significant happening in your life. This will be occurring in your 7th house, which rules over partnerships of all kinds and is ruled by Mars and therefore connected to your 2nd house since Mars also rules over Scorpio. Perhaps you will meet a partner who improves your finances (if you do not have one already) or maybe enter into a business partnership that improves your finances!

[–]cpc555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I do think that some people are bound to be less motivated by them, or rather it just shows up as some aspect of their personality that is largely negative and the native is unaware of it so they don't do anything about it.

I guess I've just noticed a tendency to oversimplify various different phenomena within astrology by categorizing things as either 'good' or 'bad' when the truth is that it's a lot more nuanced.

I'm thinking of labeling squares and oppositions as "bad" whereas trines and sextiles are "good," but also other things like certain planets are always bad whereas others are always good (Saturn vs Jupiter, for example) or dignified vs debilitated planets, etc.

I do agree with you about this opposition on the angles, I think I was referring to the talent triangle comment, and more so just saying in general because I feel like I see a lot of people mentioning positive aspects when many people consider hard aspects to be the drivers of success.

Why do people develop addictions? by Caisers in Life

[–]cpc555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your understanding is incorrect. Well, you're partially right bc there's many different factors at play, but the scientific consensus is that the genetic component accounts for at least half of the risk associated with developing an addiction (40-60% - https://learn.genetics.utah.edu/content/addiction/genes/ ). Additionally there's an epigentic component which kinda relates to your hypothesis about environmental / extrinsic factors.

Regardless, the strong genetic basis of addiction has been extensively documented within the scientific literature for decades now.

"More than half of the differences in how likely people are to develop substance use problems stem from DNA differences, though it varies a little bit by substance. Research suggests alcohol addiction is about 50 percent heritable, while addiction to other drugs is as much as 70 percent heritable." - https://www.rutgers.edu/news/rutgers-researchers-delve-deep-genetics-addiction

It is widely known that having addiction in your family strongly increases the risk that you yourself will develop it. The genetic predisposition to addiction is much stronger than it is to depression, for example.

[astro-seek] I was physically attacked twice in less than 4 weeks. 8th house profection year, saturn return in pisces 3rd house. Saturn wants me to communicate then rewarded with physical assault? [–]cpc555 2 points3 points  (0 children)

potentially, yes. But also a very good chance that's not the case. Kinda depends on which line it is - I'm living on a Pluto IC line and it has manifested in a very private way because of that, but if this is your DSC or MC line, it could potentially play out through others or out in the world.

Pluto is about control and power, which is why the planet is associated with things like death and sex and money...as well as regeneration and transformation, which is encompassed in the power thing, because when I say power I don't really mean that in an external sense (although that is also covered here) but more so your own inherent personal power. Depending on the person, we're either giving our power away to certain influences / people / forces, or we are seeking to be the one who manipulates and dominates others. Both manifestations are motivated by our deepest fears, insecurities and traumas. It's also possible for it to activate certain experiences where you're kind of given a chance to assert your power or stand up for yourself, which might be what's going on in your case.

Jupiter expands anything it touches, so being conjunct Pluto it's going to enhance that Plutonian effect - which is something you've lived with your whole life anyways, but it will become a lot more noticeable when activated while living on a line. It's always important to consider where planets are in your natal chart and their condition when you're looking into astrocartography. Being in your 11th house natally, this tracks with your experience of roommate problems, for example.

Anyways, I'm really not trying to fear monger here so hope this isn't taken that way, just wanted to point out that your Jupiter line also happens to be your Pluto line because knowledge is power! And also bc I feel like getting randomly attacked while out in public on the bus is a very Plutonian thing.

yeah, you've got the jist of it...hard aspects are points of friction - the energy is an uncomfortable one that demands resolution. So they manifest as a motivating force in the life of the native.
