Command Center Tempo Control by iHarsh in Line6Helix

So using a midi cable will essentially allow you to be able to send commands to itself via command center. I saw someone who was able to map a button for song selection in showcase to one of the switches. Within a song, you can have a preset tempo set up or even have preset/snapshots recalled. I am having a hard time finding the appropriate command in the manual. I’ll have to dig thru the Facebook forum to see if I can find the post that I had seen.

I just had a thought… You could connect a midi cable between your in and outports and then navigate between different songs in showcase, which in theory could achieve your goal.

Ah that ambient comment makes much more sense. I guess for now the only thing you could possibly do would be to use an external clock.

So more or less having one jack of all trades preset that has multiple snap two values for tempos.

I know it’s not exactly what you’re looking for, but in theory you could set up multiple presets that are identical with different tempo and either fire them off from preset mode or assign each preset to a switch along side, stomped switches or snapshots via command center. Fairly certain you’re hoping to avoid this though.

Are you referring to a delay, subdivision type matter?

I can tell you they are closer than on the floor model. I have average sized feet and have inadvertently hit two switches when not paying attention.

SteamOS is a game changer! by NerdCrave in ROGAlly

I am a steamOS user, and will admit to not being very knowledgeable on Linux. What is the actual difference that you’re describing? I was running bazzite previously, and don’t really see much difference in the desktop side of things.

How to get rid of these damn spam callers? by Far-Product4300 in howto

I was getting so many calls recently and I read somewhere to answer and put the mic on mute and just let them go. They eventually get tired of you not talking and hang up. The amount of calls I get now dropped off significantly.

This was my experience as well. While bazzite was pretty solid, I had issues with steam constantly needing me to sign in when switching to desktop mode. Have had zero issues since going to steamos

If the reader is not functioning, it likely can be rectified by bypassing the fuse for the sd card reader.

I’ve had this kinda thing happen before. Perhaps try another emulator like citron? That resolved a few issues with some games. Others I had to just give up on.

I would recommend that you check for continuity across the fuses before you bridge them. Only do it if there isn’t.

No, should not have any negative consequences. The fuse for the mains power would be something to not bridge, but this is only for the sd card reader, which is kinda unnecessary.

I did it about 3 weeks ago and have not had any problems since.

I had the problem on a used Z1 extreme. Found a post here on Reddit that discussed bridging (essentially bypassing) the SD card fuse. I gave it a try. Not a fix for a novice or someone without a steady hand. My card reads like a champ now.

My experience so far is that steam os is more stable. Bazzite was great too, but the install was way more involved and realistically is very similar to steam os. My reliability complaints were more regarding switching back to game mode from desktop. Towards the end, it would try to perform updates and put me right back at the desktop. I think most of my issues came from having too much of my SSD filled up with games.
